Typical Nokia...
When i ordered this phone i was questioning the quality of it as it was a "cheap" nokia. I read the amazing reviews and bought it on a whim for my mother. It was delivered within 3 days and no problems with the delivery. on a locked network, you can get this phone for under £10 however this "line" of nokias is very hard to unlock. By that i mean very few do it out there becauase nokia have already made these as cheap as possible and have made it hard to unlock. This being an unlocked model (worth £35) is only £18!!!! Clearly something is wrong with the phone right? So i receieved it and instantly saw a "clearance" note on it. This was a clearance item. My heart sank. Another crappy budget phone... OH NO.... But... I was proved wrong. The phone is brand new and in mint condition. Clearance doesnt mean used! It means, CHEAP AND DISPOSABLE.Definitely the best purchase i have made in years. Nothing dissatiafying about it.I've had it for 2 weeks now and my mums been making a few calls a day and sending the odd txt (shes a newbie) and there is still half the battery left.Nokia werent lying when they said this phones battery lasts for a month.Unbelivably good. Solid build. I personally find the rubbery feel to the buttons on the phone to feel "cheap" but hey, its a cheap phone. And im used to iphones and samsungs. So that point was invalid i guess.Buy this whether u need it or not. Ive just bought another as a spare for my car in emergencies and topped it up with £10 from giffgaff.Best for travels, long use, spare, elderly and children.Nokia did a perfect job for a phone that just makes calls txts and has a bright torch on it!

Better than my iPhone 6
I'm serious! Let me explain:Weight:It's way lighter than an iPhone!Size:It's a lot smaller than an iPhone and will fit into almost any pocket you might have.Robust:This phone will not bend like the iPhone 6 and it doesn't care if you drop it.Battery life:The Nokia lasts about a MONTH and a week in standby (I tried it!) That's because it has a small screen and none of the tech shenanigans that slow down and drain the iPhone 6.More time with your partner:As you literally can't use it for anything else but calling people you'll get to talk to your partner who's sitting right in front of you at your table at Starbucks instead! Yay!Facebook:It does not have facebook or any other (Anti)"social" media platform! YAY!!!Insurance:You don't have to insure it as noone would steal it and if someone does, you buy a new one for the price of a cinema ticket.PPI calls:No PPI calls as you could just use it with an unregistered O2 sim and none of those ***fill in random rude description*** is going to know your number. (You could do that with an iPhone as well... but you'd have to buy it yourself without a contract)Usability in winter:You can use it with gloves on as it doesn't rely on a touch screen!Privacy:It doesn not have GPS so the government (or Apple) will never know where you are.Cost:£16 VS. several hundred pounds for an iPhone that Apple will stop supporting in less than 2 years. Conclusion:The Nokia is the clear winner in every one of my categories. If you need your phone to do the thinking for you than you will need an iPhone. For everyone else: this one is pretty good!!

As a basic straightforward mobile for calls and texts and that's about it, this does the job. I bought it as a temporary measure a few weeks back, having dropped my smart phone that I've had for some time and when I was working, now retired. The good points: Long battery life, easy to use buttons, clear screen, a flat keyboard/screen that's easy to wipe down to keep clean,(a recent report showed that there are 800 times more bacteria on the average phone than in a toilet bowl!). Normal alarm/a few ringtones/predictive text, a decent torch and a radio(that I don't use. Bad points so far: not as good sound to listen to people talking to you/ a bit scratchy. The biggest problem is that with no blue tooth, it doesn't sync with my car for hands free. It will feel like a come down if you are used to a smart phone or communicate with email/facebook etc, but as a practical basic user/communicator rather than having the latest gadget, you soon realise that you really don't need half the stuff on most phones anyway. So if you just need to call or text, this does the job. I'm going to stick with it for a while as the phone cost me less than my previous monthly payment on my contract!!

This is a nice little mobile but I can only review it from the point of view of former Nokia 1100 owner. I got almost 10 years' service from my 1100 but it was showing its age and the screen was getting too scuffed to read texts easily. As a user who doesn't want internet access from a mobile the 106 looked ideal: everything the 1100 had plus fantastic battery life. The speaker phone, FM radio and colour display were of no interest to me.Ergonomically, the 106 seems like a backward step. The rectangular shape doesn't sit so nicely in the hand and the buttons aren't as distinct which makes it quite easy to type the wrong thing. I also think it's possible to send a text in one go by accidentally pressing the call button when adding a full stop - pressing the 1 key - but luckily I haven't managed to reproduce that one!As a feature phone it works very well but I'd have expected 10 years' to produce something to make me say, "That's progress" and it doesn't. I'm just left feeling disappointed.
