Oreck Axis upright vacuum is designed with 360 Glide Technology, a unique steering ball-joint that makes it easy to steer and offers tremendous maneuverability. This lightweight vacuum weighs about 10 pounds, is fully-powered with 2 speeds, and boasts a 13-inch wide cleaning path and premium edge brushes. It uses a HEPA inner bag which comes installed. As air passes through the HEPA inner bag it captures at least 99.97 Percent of particles at .3 microns from that air, which includes pollen, house dust, allergens, smoke, pet dander and mold spores. The Oreck Axis is built to last with a 3-year limited warranty.

Tried newer design and model.
Bought my 1st Oreck in 1999 along with the purchase of my 1st house. Within the last6 months I have shopped and researched other new generation make and models. Purchased a Shark, tried it once, returned it that day, and then went back to Amazon site to purchase the next gen Oreck and my second guess should have been my first. Pets, hardwood floors, area rugs, and also carpeted bedrooms. I couldn’t be happier with the exception of saving my time with the research done on competitors of the best vacuum manufacturer on the market.

Great lightweight vacume
Love this vacume. I am sick of mess with bagless. This vacume practically moves itself. Great suction.

Light weight but heavy duty. Dual speed very handy on hardwood and small area rugs. Swivel head is a convenient feature.

My wife loves it.
My wife loves it. Me too. Very light, very maneuverable, very strong suction. We have no issues on carpets and on hardwood floors. When this vacuum arrived my wife took it for a small test and she stopped when the whole house was vacuumed, all 3 levels and the stairs. Why I didn't get this sooner I have no idea. Well, for me money well spend. My wife doesn't push me to help her vacuuming. Yeaaaaaaaah :)

Do Not Buy
I would not buy this vacuum unless you want to change the belt after using every 3-6 months. I called the company that sells them and was told I had to buy replacement belts and they needed to be changed frequently. I purchased this vacuum 6 months ago. The warranty is useless unless the motor gives out. This is not the quality vacuum Oreck use to be.

Loved it out of the box.
It worked like magic. I'm hoping it continues. My old Oreck eventually was very hard to push.

Do not be fooled, this is NOT a new vacuum.
I ordered this vacuum from Amazon on June 6, and it was delivered on June 10, 2020. I used it the second time July 13, and it suddenly stopped working. It appeared that the belt had broken. I took the vacuum to an Oreck dealer, and he told me the belt had melted and adhered to the inside frame of the vacuum. He also looked at the ID plate on the base of the vacuum and told me that the vacuum had been built in 2013 and the warranty would have expired in 2016. Fortunately, he was willing to trade it in for credit on a new vacuum because the "return window" expired on July 10 and, of course, the warranty expired 4 years ago!!!! (I only give it one star because I had to give at least one.)
