McFarlane Toys Destiny Kings Fall Warlock Action Figure
Destiny 2 debuted yesterday and after playing the beta (as well as the beta for the first Destiny and about 600 hours in actual game) I was very excited to get my hands on this sequel. Only 2 hours in and it’s great. Being a fan of the series since the launch of Destiny on September 9th 2014, we’ve not gotten much in the way of merchandise. The Bungie store puts out some great stuff from time to time, and ThreeA released some great 1/6 scale Destiny figures (I’m a Warlock guy so I got a Warlock) but those are pricey, luckily McFarlane is releasing affordable 1/12 scale Destiny figures. So far we’ve gotten this Warlock (Kings Fall gear), a Hunter (Iron Banner gear) and a Titan (Vault of Glass gear) and will be getting Lord Saladin next month. This is McFarlane, so if you’ve gotten any of their latest Color Tops figures or any of their Walking Dead figures from the last few years, you’ll know what to expect in terms of detail, paint applications and accessories and articulation.Granted I’d have preferred McFarlane went the route they did with their Halo figures and just made the armor pieces removable so you could customize your Guardian like in the game (though you can easily interchange the figures weapons with one another I suppose). I love Warlocks but this isn’t my desired look of choice so I’m hoping these do well so McFarlane makes a lot more armor variations for these classes. The detail is great all around, the paint deco and applications are really nice, you may have some slop or missed portions but this is a $20 figure so it’s to be expected. McFarlane is still using their traditional ratcheted joints in some areas, really hard plastics for certain things that can make posing or getting accessories into figures hands rather, annoying. I’m glad these have more articulation than most of the Color Top series McFarlane has been doing of late, and I really like the collector friendly packaging they went with for this series. Each Guardian figure comes with their own Ghost (as they should), I’d have liked if there was a clear stand for it, or maybe a peg hole and an alternate hand with a peg so you could have the figure hold it better. But hey, I’m just glad they include Ghosts and that each figure’s Ghost has a different shell. This Kings Fall Warlock comes with the Touch of Malice Scout Rifle and a Black Hammer Sniper Rifle. Neither one of those weapons are weapons I use, but they look great and are painted well, they’re just a pain to get in the figures hands. I also kinda wish McFarlane just charged a bit more so they could include a 3rd Heavy Weapon like a rocket launcher or machine gun or even some subclass specials like a void grenade or a sword. Regardless, I am pleased with what we do get, 2 guns and a Ghost per figure. And the Lord Saladin 10” Deluxe Figure comes with an un-helmeted head and some cool features so I am anticipating some really good stuff from this line, if it sells well. A Deluxe Guardian with Sparrow, I’d buy that in a second. For $20 these are great, I am an avid Destiny fan and a huge action figure collector, I’m used to paying high prices for import figures and things so getting really detailed and well painted figures for $20 is so nice, warts and all these are still the best Destiny figures on the market for this quality/price. Any Destiny fan I think will be mostly pretty happy with these Destiny figures. Now hopefully we will get some Fallen, Cabal, Vex villain figures or some more main characters like Cayde 6. I’m glad Destiny is back, I’m excited and these figures just get me more excited to return to the worlds of Destiny. This figure comes FULLY APPROVED.

Horrible fitting, beautiful craftsmanship?
Let me start off by saying that these are crafted and painted beautifully, they are aesthetically perfect! The big problem arises with the weapons and fitting. It is almost impossible to fit the weapons onto the figures hand, and there's not much articulations for it to grasp the weapon; not to mention the included ghost is just a tiny spec, it doesn't have any way of floating or sitting in the guardians hand unless you balance it perfectly and make sure no one blows on the figure. Now as a compromise, you can easily fit the weapons on the back/leg of the guardian and leave the figure as a nice standing display (or whatever pose you choose fit). For $19.99 you're getting an amazing deal for what you get. Buying all 3 classes and standing them side by side is amazing as a display piece. Unless you're really picky when it comes to posing the guardian with the weapons or you favor the equipment more than the guardian itself, then this is a MUST buy!

Now this is what an action figure is all About
I bought this for my kid, as a Xmas present and he is so happy with it (me too because i love destiny videogame) these figures are really well made, nicely painted and with a very high attention to details, with a lot of articulations, this particular character (Warlock) comes with the Touch of Malice scout riffle and the Black Hammer sniper riffle, and the Kings Fall armor set. This is beyond my expectations and all i can say is McFarlane Toys are one of the best out there

Love the McFarlane Destiny figures
Well made, iconic weapons, solid coloration and armor... neat figure. Got it as a gift for a Warlock main and they were stoked. Would give six stars, but I could only increase it .04%.

Great looking...Hard to work with
First things first, this review is coming from a guy without any other action figures, models, or replica anything besides funko pops. If that deters you from taking this at face value, that's just fine. But to start off, this guy is beautiful! The model is heavy, and feels extremely well put together. He looks every bit as great as the pictures and the build quality and materials used seem solid, durable and high quality. Now, while it looks incredible, I have to agree with a lot of the other reviews when it comes to weapon positioning in the hands. While addressing this, I want to mention that the fingers, while extremely small seem to bend and hold shape (sort of). This took me quite a while to figure out as I was trying to get him to hold his gun without breaking his hands. His fingers are pretty mold-able and it seems they may have wire inside them to help them keep their shape. Could be wrong, but once I realized this, I didn't feel as worried that I would break it and it made things easier when trying to get his hands to hold onto the grip of the gun. That being said, it seems nearly impossible to get the gun to sit the same way it does in the pictures. The warlock ends up holding the gun pretty far away from his body. This seems due to the fact that his bicep area (The piece between the shoulder and elbow joint) doesn't have much movement, and with the way you have to bend the elbow to come across the body, the gun just sits awkwardly far away from the body.Other than the concern with him holding either gun, the model seems awesome and looks great, just wish his arms and hands were more versatile so that he could better hold his awesome weapons. For those wondering, I have him with his sniper rifle on his back and holding the smaller gun. I didn't even want to try to get that sniper rifle into his hands....

Figure was alright. Placing a gun on his hands was abit awkward but at least they stick on his hands once you put one in. P.s. Boo titans warlocks rule
