its perfect for handling my nosebleeds due to dry air

I like to keep my room moist for my throat health, and this can easily turn the room into a tropical rain forest with clouds filling the room if you put it on high. You can keep it on medium or low and the room will still be quite moist, and the large tank will last for several days before needing to be refilled.

It works for the space I use it in (small kitchen). I have it turned to about 65-70% output, and have to fill it up once every 24 hours. On 100% it lasts only about 8 hours. It keeps the space about 70% humidity which is perfect for my tropicals and collector aroids. When I ordered I didn't realize it was not top filling, which was what I wanted. (I had been looking at many different models that day... my mistake). You have to lift the water reservoir off the base and flip it upside down to fill. There is a screw off lid that can sometimes be a bit difficult to open when it is wet and I overtightened it. Once full, the lid gets screwed on, then you have to flip the reservoir back over, which is a bit heavy and slippery. It does have a handle, and does not leak when flipped. Overall it works, I dont hate it, but dont love it either. It will be good for now, but I will probably upgrade to a much higher output and larger reservoir unit for the winter.

So I couldn't get it to work. The "steam" was coming out of the air intake and not the top of the machine where it is supposed to come out at. My husband took the bottom of the base off and the fan wasn't working. I put my finger in and moved the wheel, it was stuck.....humidifier works like it's supposed to now.

This humidifier did not even last 2 months! My husband smelt burning plastic coming from the machine last night so he turned it off! I woke up this morning and refilled it purified water and plug it in all the water started leaking out from the bottom of the humidier all over my floor. I dumped out all the water and let the bottom dry out and plugged it back in. Needless to say the humdifier is fried! Total waste of money! Thank god I was home to notice all the water that had leaked all over my floor!!

Humidifier was very quiet at first. That's really the only plus about it. Now it makes a grinding noise to where you can't hold on conversation in the room. On maximum output, all day, in my 15x12 bedroom, this product barely made a difference with the humidity level. I bought this to help my infant son during the winter months but I wish I would have gone with another option. Please don't consider this for any area larger than a playhouse, if you have children that need a good product for illness, or like to hear your own thoughts.

This humidifier isn't super fancy, but it has a really big tank which I appreciated. It's pretty quiet (though definitely not silent), and has a large opening for filling, which I think is nice. You can also adjust the direction of the mist, which is great for me since I'm using it primarily for plants. It's not leaky either. Overall, a solid humidifier and a great price for such a large tank.

We loved this humidifier! We loved it so much, we got two. We live in Colorado so it's really dry here and we would run these humidifiers all day and night. We used to keep both in the living room of our 1400 sq ft apartment, but they worked so well the living room turned into a rain forest. So we started keeping one in our bedroom and the other in the living and it has kept our apartment perfectly humid. We've had them for about a year and I would wipe out the base with a warm wet rag and some cleaning solution every week, but recently I noticed I just couldn't get to some of the internal mechanisms and it was starting to be really loud when we ran it. I tired to clean it in the sink with a brush (careful not to submerge it or get water in the bottom of it) and it still didn't clean it enough to get the noise to stop. Eventually it just stopped working all together. We're really bummed because it worked so well, but it just isn't practical if it breaks down over a year, despite regular cleaning. So that's why I'm giving it a 3 stars, because if it lasted a few years, then cool. But it's not even been a full year. Our previous humidifier broke down after 5 years of use and when we went to buy it again, had been discontinued. Which is why we switched to this one. But unfortunately, it just doesn't have the same longevity.
