Beautiful chair worth the purchase.
The media could not be loaded. Β So I received the chair this week and assemble it at work during the weekend. I have been reading a lot of reviews on office chairs on Amazon and they can definitely make you gun shy. Bottom line is the I would recommend this chair for purchase and for it's price. However I really don't see how the average guy would fit in it. I think it will end up being too low, too narrow and too soft for anyone above 5'6 and 170, but just my opinion. The chair can probably handle the weight but I can't imagine it would be comfortable. So here are the statistics on me, I am a 5'2, very fit woman carrying 160 pounds with a very low BMI. So I am short, but not the expected tiny type for my height. I have provided I hope enough photos to help other make a final decision. Packaging: I was already concerned when it arrived because the box was punctured on one side. However when I opened the box everything was solidly in place with plastic around all the parts.Instructions: they are pretty basic, but if you lay everything out you can easily figure everything out. I took advice I saw posted and put the screws in just tight enough to hold everything in place but so I could adjust if necessary. The only thing I would tell the manufacturer is to make the screws about a 1/4" longer. I would just make it easer on the assembly if you had a bit more screw to work with especially when trying to seat the first few threads. The holes we in all the proper position, but working alone was challenging with such short screws. Second you will see in my pictures where I recommend swapping a step because I think it will make it easier to assemble the chair. Again I was working alone on a Saturday in my office, so swapping those steps I found made it easier.Materials: the chair is not cream, off white or white....it's is alpine, blizzard white, which was exactly what I was looking for! There was one smudge mark on the arm rest when I removed the plastic which promptly came off with a dab of spit and my t-shirt....lol! The stitching in two areas is kinda concerning, so we will see how it holds up. I found truly no other flaws in the material otherwise. The chair does have an oder, from whatever the "pleather" is made of. I did not find it annoying [worked for two hours after assembling it] but if such things bother you, then I would say take heed. I don't believe it will ever really go away as again, the chair isn't really leather but some man made something. Whatever the something is it does look really nice! The other components were also in plastic bags and I had no chips, or markings which I felt anyone would notice or bug my OCD self.Fit and stuff: the chair is rather narrow, hence my comment that perhaps guys might want to overlook it. The piston mechanism operated smoothly raising and lowering the chair when activate and staying in the position locked. I was happy because my 5'2' self could get her feet flat not the ground. The chair has the perfect back height to I can recline my head on the back rest. Anyone tall I think would have have this option. The chair feels like it leans a smidgen forward, but that could be how the tilt mechanism might be set. I didn't get a chance to fiddle with it but will check later. I am not one who likes to set her chair up for leaning back. However, I think I am going to need the ability to push it back just as bit. I am ok with loosening the tilt and perhaps figuring a way to shim it into the exact position I want. The rollers on the chair went on fine with a bit of effort, but one in [and I still only had to use my hands no hammer etc] they were solid and rolled easily both on the office carpet and the plastic chair mat. The chair also spun freely when unoccupied and when sitting in it.So overall I had a great experience purchasing from this vendor [the thing also arrived super, super fast]. At this point I am very happy with the money I invested versus the quality of the chair I received. Bottom line the thing looks awesome, expensive looking and is comfortable.

β β THE CHAIR LOOKED LIKE IT WAS CHEAPLY MADE β β AND IT WAS β β
Purchased on December 30 2015. That was less than 4 months ago. The chair looked like it was cheaply made, but did look nice when it was put together and it was a cheap chair, so I wasn't expecting a lot. My last chair costs $149 and lasted 5 1/2 years. We weigh 160 & 167 pounds. This chair is Supposed to be rated OVER 300 pounds. Other people have said that 250 pound people couldn't use it, well a lot less than that can't either. It has been LESS than 4 months and the seams are coming apart on the right side arm and two places on the seat. I've had to purchase a cushion to hide the seat. Like other people have stated, the arms have to be retightened frequently too. You shouldn't have to do that. That means eventually, you won't be able to tighten them, they'll just be wobbly. Not a very well made chair in my opinion. Next time, I'll put out an extra $60 or so and get something that lasts more than 4 months. One more thing, the castors are Really Cheaply Made and I paid $8.99 for new ones at an office supply store. You might want to consider doing that or if you have good castors on your chair now, switch them out. I put my old chair out on the curb, before I realized the new chair that was coming would need the castors. I would have given it a 3 star rating, if the stitching wasn't coming loose, in those areas.β β UPDATE: Even Though the Chair Was Relegated to the Basement for Occasional Use, Because the Screws That Go Into The Arms Are Way Too Short, TWO Of The Screws Fell Out & Had To Be REPLACED With Screws 8 Threads Longer. So, Be Sure To Buy LONGER Screws When Assembling or You'll Need to Later. The Hardware is NOT Correct. We Knew They Were Too Short When We Assembled the Chair, but Thought They'd Hold the Arms On. They DIDN'T.

Very pleased....
I have to get a new chair about every 2 or 3 years because I use it a lot at my desk and the leather wears out after a while. My last one was like this one only slightly more heavy duty and the padding was thicker. The leather started flaking after a while and it started creaking. It cost about the same as this one because it was on sale. This one is a little sleeker in design because it's not padded as much and looks really nice. It is very quiet when I roll around in it which is so nice after hearing the loud screams from the last one! This is not the most expensive chair on the market but it is good quality and should last me as long as I expect it to....probably 2 or 3 years like all the others. I could get a better quality chair if I wanted to pay a lot more but then I would be more hesitant about replacing it along the way and I like changing my colors out ever so often. I usually get a black or burgundy like my last one. This time I got the white one which took me a little time to get used to and I'd planned on getting a beige but they were out of them at the time. The white is great though because it really brightens up my work area. I'm sure it's not real leather for this price but it is nice and looks great. It came packaged very well with no missing parts, no damaged parts and got to me in less time than I expected. I'm very pleased with it. One thing...if you have it on hardwood floors, be careful when you go to sit down because it will roll easily and you might miss your landing. (I would have if I hadn't rolled with it and it hit the wall and landed in it. My pets all seemed quite amused at this for some reason.)
