Shimano C5000 HG FE - strong fast and compact - delivered very fast
I purchased this Shimano Nexave C5000 HG FE because I needed a strong, fast yet compact reel that weighs half as much as my other large Shimanos. I tried it for the first time last weekend off the rocks in F6-7 Beaufort , spooled with 40mm line. I am satisfied at the way it handled. It tolerated no nonsense from a couple of big bream (saragi) I landed. Even after three or 4 hours of fishing I could lift the rod high up in the air with one hand to avoid getting the mainline snagged with the rocks underneath me. I purchased this reel from Marlin Blu di Montanari and received it very fast with very good tracking.

2500 model
Good all round reel. Casts 8g to 12g lures really well. Line spools nice and even on retrieve.

Precision made, but tiny.
I bought the 2500 size, 150yards of 10 lb bs line fills the spool. I use it for method fishing for carp. It's nice to use, but tiny. The anti reverse switch is too small and awkward to use.

Very smooth
For the price point, you will forget you're using a cheaper Shimano reel, this thing has very smooth action and feels like a quality high dollar one. I have only used it a few times but, I think it is going to last a good while before I have any issues.
