Q: Why do my "quandeli" shoes say "hotanjar" on them?

I don't know but they are the most comfortable sandals I have ever worn.

Q: It is imperative that I have at least a 1” or more higher heel than the toe area, is this shoe higher in the heel?

No it is not 1". It is about half an inch higher.

Q: Are these okay for water? What type of material is it?

They are made of rubber and other man made materials...OK for water.

Q: Do these make your soles sweat?

Unfortunately I can't answer this question. I always wore socks with them because I am missing most of a big toe. And I didn't want that to show. Hopefully someone else will help.
