Caseology Skyfall for Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Case (2017) - Clear Back & Slim Fit - Warm Gray

I got my Note 8 yesterday and am glad I ordered this case in advance. I really like it, but you do have to have realistic expectations--no case for a huge phone with special accessories is going to be perfect. Here's the pros and cons so far; not really much on the cons side for me but it may matter to others.Pros--1. Most important--I already dropped my phone (on carpet and from about 3ft) and it is fine. So protection is great!2. Stylus is easy to get in/out, and I like that it's somewhat protected from accidentally popping out the stylus.3. It looks great, with caveats below. I have the Orchid Grey phone and the Orchid Grey case coordinates nicely. It's basically a darker shade of the phone.4. Easy to put on/take off but still fits snugly, and the material on the edges makes it easy to hold (especially important with such a large phone!). The corners and top are slightly deeper so you can set the phone down face-down without coming in contact with the surface. You have about 2 sheets of paper worth of gap between your phone and whatever you set it down on, so the depth difference isn't really noticeable when you don't have it face-down.5. Buttons have a raised surface--I really prefer this to the cases that have a recessed opening to access the buttons. The ports at the bottom are easy to access, and I haven't had any problems with getting chargers or headphones plugged in and secure. The camera/fingerprint sensor opening gives it some protection when you put the phone down on its back (since it's now recessed) but it's still very easy to use the fingerprint sensor.6. Wireless charging works great, and the depth of the case fits fine on the lip of my Samsung charger (the one that's inclined at about 45 degrees)Cons--1. The case does add some bulk on the sides. I don't feel like this is a con so much as an expectation, given that you want to keep the edge functionality and have phone-edge protection, but some people may not like it. To accommodate the curved edges, the "bumpers" do stick out quite a bit. It's not cumbersome and I don't feel like it's excessive or weird-feeling to hold (I'm a female with medium-size hands).2. The back is a fingerprint/smudge magnet. Super-easy to wipe off, so not a huge deal.I hope this review helps anyone looking for a case. As long as you're not expecting a super-tiny side-to-side profile, I highly recommend! I'm attaching pics too.

I usually do not like cases as they usually take away the original design and turn the phone into something completely different (aesthetically). Unfortunately, most phones, and specially the Note 8, are not rough handling-friendly (or even normal handling-friendly) and any little thing will damage it. The Note 8 is a beautiful device -from its glass back to the curved, slightly bezeled bright screen, and I was dreading putting a case that will turn it into an ugly brick. Yes, I also understand that a case is a must because of the super-high cost so making a decision was headache-inducing. I did buy a case when I got the phone and I immediately hated it to the point I decided to brave using the phone without it. I then came across a lady in the shopping line and noticed the cool phone she had. It looked rather familiar. It was like it was encased in all glass with rubber corner bumpers. Then I realized that it was an actual Note 8. I asked to see it and immediately placed the order where I stood. As soon as I received it (not a moment too soon as I am a known butter hands) I noticed how easy it is to put it on and take it off. No fuss there. The case provides a nice contour that is comfortable to hold and does not add too much to the size and weight of the phone. It does have raised corner bumpers that allow the phone to be placed face down without the back or the screen touching the surface (must be fully flat, of course). There is easy access to all ports, especially the headphone jack and the USB-C port. It also allows for wireless charging! The stylus is easy to pull and the buttons are responsive. Although it may not have the protection rating as other phone cases, it definitely does add a good level of protection and peace of mind -just gotta be careful as one should, anyway. Overall, I think this is the best case for this particular phone and I highly recommend it.

I used to be skeptical of phone cases and cases that tear up, get beatin up easily, and just look like they had been used for more than a decade old. This company and this product they sell meets and exceeds my expectations with a strong hold, sleek design, and overall just a great sturdy case. One thing about companies these days is they release a product and after like a year of use they just beakdown and start to look and feel nasty. But this case is able to withstand anything and stay durable throughout use whether you stay with it or change cases later down the line. Without a doubt I would say this case is a great competitor to mous phone cases. For a better price. You get what you pay for but its very good and holds up to the last case I got from caseology.

I've had this for a week - haven't dropped my phone yet so I won't comment on that. Overall, I like the design.Pros: Easy to hold, easy to access buttons and stylus, and does not cause any issues with the screen protector I also installed (iTurbos brand, if you are interested). The case seems to have a good grip on the phone and the sides have a rubberized feel, which gives a much better grip than the phone's glassy surface.Cons: It does show a lot of fingerprints on the back (that doesn't really bother me much), and the center of the back tends to stick to the phone, creating a large spot that appears wet. I've pulled off the case and wiped the inside of it and the back of my phone with rubbing alcohol (twice now) and it seems to help marginally. I assume it's any oils from my hands causing this, since I used the phone for a week before having a case. I may end up trying to clean it a couple more times to see if it completely eliminates the problem.

This case is extremely awkward to handle , it's very slippy in one hand meaning it's impossible to hold the phone one handed ! It's bulky beyond belief making your slim note 8 look like an extremely ugly brick. Also when the case first arrives it has a film cover on it to protect it , unfortunately it's very difficult to remove ,,, I scratched the case ( admittedly a small scratch but still very annoying. ) I thought being a caseolgy case it would be good quality but I was very wrong it is one of the ugliest and poorly designed cases I've ever used!!!! Stay clear of it!!!

The case is of high quality material and fits snugly on the phone adding to the overall confidence of the user handling the device while ensuring full functional access to its buttons, S-pen and connectivity ports usability. The outer frame is adding extra bumper protection on the corners and complements the device coloring scheme. The case has a slight protruding lip on the top and bottom portion of the screen side, ensuring it does not scratch against a surface when placed face down. This is my first experience with a Caseology product and I am quite impressed.

Fits well, doesn't bulk my phone up and doesn't take away the beauty of my Note 8. Very happy with this case.

I’ve used many caseology cases in the past but this one builds up condensation between the Note 8 and the case. Not recommended.
