Blue Sea Systems 2715 150 Amp Common BusBar cover

Very sturdy busbar
I bought this to connect the negative parallel cables from my solar battery bank. I've been hoping to get a busbar with 5 posts but no such luck. I thought this was 3/8" when I ordered it but it turned out to be 5/16". However since I had to make up battery cables I just bought 5/16" end lugs and put that on the cable instead. The cable from the mini disconnect has a 3/8" lug but this didn't prove to be a problem because the nut makes good contact with the end, but I will update once I get a good sunny day (been having cloudy days and rain). This was a lot cheaper than the quote from the solar company for a 17" busbar with no posts!

Looks great under the hood!
I used these for ground points on my truck under the hood. I made a large gauge jumper from the main body ground to the side post then pull any new ground needed off the screw points. Cover adds a nice finished touch although totally unnecessary for grounds. Well built as all Blue Sea products I've used.

These have been through a lot and are champs at it
I have used these for the past year combining three charge controllers to feed a battery bank in an off-grid system. There has been once or twice I exceeded (albeit by only a few amps) the 250 amp limit, and have not seen any problems. As you get above 175 amps, they can start to get a bit above room temperature, but that is to be expected when you are throwing that kind of current through it. The highest temp I was able to garner was about 95-105 degrees F when it was pushing about over 225 amps @ +/- 24v with a temp gun at room temp. The tin coating is very good, and yes, you can definitely tell they are copper on the inside from their weight. Dimensions are spot-on which really helped me put these in an enclosure. I have had no problems with these at all, and let's be honest - they're solid pieces of metal, no moving parts - but they have lived up to every thing I can throw at them thus far.I am upgrading these to the 600 amp models as I am adding more solar and do not want to push my luck when I take it above 300 amps.If you have a need for this kind of item, don't skimp on the workmanship and get these.

Good Quality
Very good quality. My only negative comment is that I would have liked the protective cover to have covered the terminals a little more completely. As is a metal object or a carelessly placed screwdriver can slip underneath and short the terminals.

Worked great with my solar system

Great Solution!
First off I like Blue Seas products, quality is always top notch and this buss bar was no exception. I had a mess of wires already on my positive post on my solenoid and needed to add another 12 volt feed. I got this to mount on the inner fender to make things neater and provide better access to future power needs. The cover seems secure and helps to prevent accidental shorts. I like the quality of this unit and mounting was no problem. Thanks Blue Sea!

Ground Buss
My project required me to mount this against a flat surface, thus you would think you could use only one side of the buss. This item allows you to use both rows of the buss from one side. I used another buss as I was desperate for a buss and found another buss was made in a smaller foot print not easily allowing me to shift wires to one side thus it was a crowded buss. I must remove 2 wires to service one circuit. This item does not crowd your wires and allows servicing without having to remove 2 wires to get to one.

Great product, but would've loved for terminals to be more covered / protected
Blue Sea makes some great products, and quality is top notch.I was surprised how much space there was between the cover and base - remember, this company makes products for marine use.I would've loved a better cover that covered more for safety. We are talking about electrical contact which are assumed to be used in a marine environment.

Great for cleaning up cables on RVs with multiple batteries
Note that this review is for the 250AMP 4 stud bus bar, not the 150 AMP one with 10 smaller screws.Used 2 of these (1 for positive and 1 for negative) to clean up the wiring on the four 12 volt batteries in my RV. The RV dealer did a bit of a messy install a few years ago. Now I have all 4 batteries connected to this bus bar with equal length cables allowing the power draw to be exactly the same on each battery, while any load is taken from the bus bar. Same for the negative terminals - all 4 batteries connected to the 2nd bus bar which is then connected to ground. No more jumpers between batteries. This also guarantees that all batteries receive the same charge. Now it is easier to take one battery off line should one go bad.

Heavy duty
Significantly heftier than expected. Look incredibly well built. Rewiring out travel trailer 12v system and most everything is now Blue Sea. Haven't been disappointed yet and the 250 amp busbars are no exception. The picture is deceiving - these are NOT small.

Good solid quality
We purchased this unit, and several others, with covers to straighten up the wiring in our RV and better incorporate our solar charging electrical system.Blue Sea Systems build a wide variety of electrical components for Marine and RV. Every piece I have purchased has been well designed and well built. No more 'off-shore' components for me. I trust what these folks build to keep us safe.

Makes things clean
How was my product, you ask!? Its awesome. It so simplifies things especially when you add the fuse box with it. Now I notice the new version has this AND the fuse box combined (which I bought for the third vehicle) ... guess I should have paid attention. But everything is simplified and is now neat and tidy. Not a million wires going to my battery ... and I can put this (and the fuse box) where ever I wish!
