Excellent hitch lock .....
I found this to be a perfect hitch lock for my Jeep.Fits my 2 inch square Curt hitch with no problems.Others have complained of the rattle or loose fit on their barsgoing into their receiver - Well it has to havesome clearance for differences in tolerances, etc. The actual gap aroundthe 2 inch square is about 3/32 - not bad.I made up that gap with 2 layers of stair tread tape on all for sidesand this makes it fit nice and tight - in fact, I had to tap it in witha rubber mallet, but now zero/ NO slop and firm all around. On the lock itself, I received 2 keys and it works great and was ableto tighten about 3 turns and remove the key. The dust/ moisture cap istight, but can still be lifted off when needed. For the 1/8 inch gap on each sideof the lock, I picked up two, 5/8 inch inside diameter rubber washersat the hardware store in the plumbing section and they fit tight on eachside of the lock against the bar; this makes the lock not rattle eitherand fit tight. I give the lock 5 stars, hands down - good quality, good price, and functions correctly.

Well conceived mechanism.
This hitch lock works well. It's sealed with rubber so the road grime doesn't gunk it up. And I like the locking mechanism because of its ease of use. Just put the key in and you're basically turning a nut over a bolt. The key can be removed every 90 degrees, so you can snug it right up.I lost the keys and had to have the local trailer shop cut it off before I bought my 2nd one. They said it was pretty tough to remove, even in their shop with pro tools.

Great trailer hitch pin, keeps my bike rack safe on the back of my truck.
Summary: I like this locking trailer hitch pin, I use it to lock my trailer hitch bicycle rack to the back of my 2004 ford explorer with the 1.25inch receiver. The Good:- All things considered it is fairly easy to install (see my concerns below)- There are no machining defects.- Is solid, and no slack in the standard 1.25 inch receiver pin hole on my truck. The Bad:- I didn't realize that when I purchased this locking pin that the mode of unlocking the trailer pin was by inserting the key and then unscrewing the key cylinder to unlock the pin from the trailer. (its not quick) -- Better said, this product functions in a similar way to a security lug nut, the key is the wrench that unscrews the cylinder (nut) from the bolt that is threaded into the pin.TL;DR - I takes a while and is a bit awkward to remove this pin from the hitch.- The cover that covers the cylinder where you insert the key is made of a fairly rigid plastic that seems likely to fail either in cold weather, or with normal sun exposure, making the keyhole prone to get dirt in it.Other Thoughts:- I cant see any obvious modes of failure that would result in this trailer hitch pin failing.

works great and seems heavy duty.
this seems to hold my bike rack secure my bike rack and keep the rack secure with little motion when driving the car.I love that I can put the key on my regular key fob and keep it with me while riding and know for sure that my rack is going nowhere till I get back.

Not fitting Toyota
It's too short for my 2012 Toyota Sequoia, which is the brother to the Tundra. Although it's a 2 inch hitch, this locking hitch pin is too short, it cannot be locked because it's too short. This is not as advertised, and I sent it back.Other hitch pins I've owned in the past are longer, and have plastic spacers (like washers) that can be used to make it fit any length, and prevent it from rattling. So, a no go for Toyota's large vehicles.

Used it to Lock and Automatic Gate - Works Great
I actually used this on an Sentry automatic gate opener. I was looking for a lock to lock the gate to the opener. The system comes with a pin and cotter pin to hold it in place. This can be easily removed and the security gate opened. After reading the reviews of the gate locks on the market I decided that none of them were worth the money. I researched the size of this against the pin diameter and it was a perfect match. Although it is a little bigger than the gate locks it is not obtrusive and is much more secure.

Great lock. One flaw and solution.
The saw the screw lock works, the pins fall about 6 times per turn. And you have to turn it many times to take the lock off. If you are picking the lock, you have to pick it about 30 times to take it off. Thats great! It feels like a strong enough lock. I REALLY wish there is less space between the lock and pin shaft. Tons of room for a pry bar to test the threads on the screw lock. Thats why im deducting one star. Fill the space with metal washers (preferably stainless steel) to avoid that problem. I threw in a rubber grommet for noise reduction.

Seems like it'll do its job well
Easy to install, a bit weird with the screw on key system, but not rocket science. I wish it had been a bit shorter, but it fits snug enough that when our rack is tightened in the hitch receiver, there is no play. Been using it for about two weeks.

Trailer Hitch Lock
We bought this lock so that we do not lose our HitchMate TruckStep. The truck step slides into the trailer hitch of the pick up and we don't want it stolen as it is a very handy step. The Heininger Trailer Hitch Lock is built nice and sturdy.

Happy with the purchase
Happy with the purchase, used this with the 1.25 curt angled shank cargo carrier for the 2017 Honda Civic for the Aug long weekend trip, 300kms (120-130miles) back and forth without any problems. It would be nice if the locking pin came with a threaded screw type to have less movements in the carrier. With that said. I did NOT noticed any sounds or noise or rattling while driving.

Fits well
Seems very solid in design and fit properly. Had to add a little oil into the keyway to get it to turn smoothly.
