Great light! Easy, low-buck mod that looks great on any Jeep without a spare tire cover. The product I initially received wasn't working right (some segments wouldn't light up), but the seller was awesome and got me a replacement unit quickly, which works perfectly. When I bought this, there were two options, with and without the plug-and-play wiring. Since this unit isn't technically DOT-approved, I wanted to keep the factory third-taillight and use this in conjunction with that, not in place of that, so that I didn't have any concerns when I was getting the state inspection. Based on feedback from others, that the plug-and-play wiring would use this light ring in place of the factory third brake light, I decided to buy the non-plug-and-play version, and instead bought a weatherproof quick disconnect, that I soldered into the factory wiring, so that the ring could be easily unplugged without affecting anything else. Worked out great!

It was easy to install, the brightness is good and seems to be well made. The problem I have and this is partially my fault. The wheels on my Jeep are 15 inch. I wanted to add this to my spare as more of a saftey measure. My YJ Jeep Wrangler did not come with a third brake light. So I was starting completely from scratch. Running the wiring and hooking it up was not an issue. The issue was that the diameter of the LED light ring dies not match the hole openings of the wheels I have. It just sits directly behind the solid part of the wheel. So the light is not visible at night. Let alone in the daytime. Like I said this is partially my fault. The overall diameter of the unit is listed and it fits into my 15 inch wheel. But the actual LED light ring diameter is not listed. I should have questioned and made sure before my purchase. I will have to figure something else out. I believe listing the actual diameter of the light ring in the product description would help people to determine if this is the correct unit for their wheels. I did not give this product a poor rating because of my oversight. I gave it a better rating because it functions how it should and seems to be well made.

Solid construction. Easy to install. Blacked out look when LED is off vs other LED break rings that have visible white dots when not lit. The only issue I have is the sheathing does not completely cover the wires that enter the plastic housing. But, you can reinforce that with some black Gorilla duct tape. Let’s see how long this light lasts. So far I like it a lot and it’s very visible at night.

This spare light was easy to install on my son's Jeep and he loves it. The quality is good and it looks cool.

Again, I have to give five stars for easy install and fantastic results. Nothing I encountered was worth taking a star away. I guess I'm lucky with aftermarket 15" wheels on my '03 Wrangler TJ. The rear tire mount is just like stock, but higher to allow my larger diameter tires. Fit is great and just hook up the red wire to the third brake light white and the black wire to the third brake light black wire and that's it! When you test it, don't be a goober like I was and leave the rear gate open while testing. ---The contacts for the third brake light are situated so that you have to have the gate closed for the contacts to work, you idiot! Of course, I was cussing this thing and rechecking my wiring like crazy until I realized my stupidity. Really a cool addition and it's bright as h3\\, so increased safety, to boot!

I love it! Super easy to install, Plug n Play-took about 15-20 minutes. No videos were out there to show it with a backup camera, but it fits just fine. 2010 jeep wrangler jk.

I guess it's a great item, can't use on my Jeep because of the make of my spare tire.

This brake light wheel is amazing so many complements very bright easy to install on my Jeep Sahara with a 35 inch spare tire just splice into factory third brake light wires and it done

Great addition to the Jeep. Get asked all the time about it. I like it because the brake light is right infront the driver and at eye level. It catches other drivers eyes. Easy to install.

Does not fit 15 inch rims. But it seams good quality. Havent tried it tho
