prAna Men's Stretch Zion Short

Normally would go for a new age hippy type article of clothing (I’m a heavy weight, heavy duty, will never wear out mindset person) but I’m going on a hiking trip and wanted some shorts with a bit a stretch and lighter weight.I have to say that these are by far the most awesome shorts I have ever worn! I wish I had not waited so long! Light weight (but not cheapy and flimsy feeling) comfy, sized right, dry fast, look good on the trail and in town too! But a pair - you will not regret it. I will definitely be buying more!!!

I live in an area of the world where I need my clothes and gear to perform day in and day out. So, I'm on a never-ending search for products that can withstand the lifestyle I have in Asia. These Prana shorts seem to up to the task. I wear them 3+ days a week and they are washed equally as much. They are put out in the sun to dry.As far as comfort, they can't be beat. The stretch material is perfect for any setting. The style and look is also great. They casual with T-shirts, but look the part with a polo as well.I'll be buying several more pairs and probably won't wear any other shorts.

These are my favorite shorts. I own shorts from The North Face, Mountain Hardwear, ExOfficio and Dockers. The Prana Zion shorts stretch when I need them to. They have small vent holes in crotch for comfort. The pockets are deep enough to be useful and the built-in belt has no equal. There are also belt loops if you want to wear a belt to carry additional equipment (radio, cell phone, flashlight etc). They are made with synthetic material so they wash easily and dry fast- no wrinkles. They are lightweight and pack well.These shorts are as close to perfection as you can get. You can go rock climbing or fishing in them, or wear them to the company picnic.I purchased the 10" length because the 12" length rubs on my knee caps which I find annoying. There are 5 pockets. two front, two rear (one secured with flap) and one on the left leg that is secured.There are much cheaper shorts in this category, but none are as versatile and comfortable as the Prana Zion.

These are great shorts! Lightweight and stretchy. No tightness in the crotch when moving around. Woot woot! The cargo pocket fits a Passport just right, even with a small cover on it. The front pockets are nice and deep. One of the back pockets has a flat to protect it. Love not needing a belt. The fit seems to be right on. Highly recommend for travel, hiking, or even everyday use!

I'll admit I had low expectations of these, but darned if they didn't perform well on my recent trip. I wore these for four days in 90+F humid weather and they were super comfortable and held up great. They are cool and light-weight while still feeling solid. I'm used to heavier cotton cargo shorts but these were much more comfortable. My only regret is that I bought the 12" instead of the 10". As a fairly tall person I thought the 12" would fit me better but I think I would have preferred the 10", which is what I'll order when I get my next pair. I do wish they two slightly larger cargo-style pockets instead of just the one smaller cargo pocket, but that's a minor complaint.

I liked them so much that I bought a second pair in a different color. Comfy, stretchy.The cargo pocket is big enough for what I need (cell phone, wallet, but not both), but not massive. For some reason I don't understand, there are two zippers, top and side, to access the cargo pocket. This seems like a good way to walk around with an open pocket without realizing it, so minus one star for that. The zippers aren't the easiest to use, but that also makes them very anti-pickpocket.I really like the built-in webbing belt. It doesn't wrap all the way around, but cinches from one side. It tugs on the button, but that's metal (brass?), so plenty strong. These dry pretty quickly. Overall, a very well made product.

Spouse - recently diagnosed with diabetes - went on a diet and gave up everything "white" (white bread, sugar, white rice, pasta...). From Christmas to May, he lost 50 pounds - but his shorts no longer fit and everything looked terrible. I had heard of PrAna and knew it was a good brand; however, I was pleasantly surprised to see that Amazon carried their items. Spouse was in-between sizes normally carried in brick & mortar stores (not a 34, but not a 36) so I ordered a 35" waist and they are a perfect fit. These shorts are made of an amazing fabric that doesn't wrinkle, looks so nice and washes like a dream. No pilling of the fabric - just wash, toss in the dryer on low heat and put them on. Amazon's price was better than what I could find on the PrAna website, which makes this item a win-win for us!

Best shorts...Period! I just wore out my first 3 pairs...after probably 7-8 years, and only the stretchy ness started to go, no tears. They are worn daily. I’ve had crashes on my bicycle with them and only minor scuffs.

Had a previous version of these for quite a few years. Very comfortable. Very durable. My favourite all activity shorts.
