Install aside a great product
Installation beware but a great product, feels high end (water stream, parts, looks). Instructions are garbage though - there's a one page exploded parts diagram and that is all - and the online videos aren't much better. If you've never installed one of these here's a couple tips:1) The hose has to be snaked through the sink neck AFTER you thread the nozzle over the hose it. If you forget to thread the nozzle you'll be beat and have to start over. So thread the nozzle onto the hose from the back of the hose to the front, then snake the hose into the neck from front to the back. It will act like a noose and the hose cannot come out if done properly.2) the spring goes over the hose under the sink but not before the double loop white plastic piece goes on first. Put the double loop over the hose, then the spring on the hose (it's a pain in the rear to get it on), then thread the opposite end of the hose back up into the other side of the loop and bolt it onto the thread post with the double sided nut. The online video for this part is actually decent if you get stuck.Overall really happy with the product but a dopey install if you ask me.

Worth every penny!
Thank you for making a pull down faucet that is well built, works really well and is easy enough to DIY install for someone who has installed a kitchen faucet before. This is a pricey unit I have to admit. I've used Hansgrohe and Grohe plumbing products for years. I've had their kitchen faucets in the last three homes I've lived in, and I also have a handheld rain shower. The performance is wonderful but my biggest smile came after I had made all my connections and turned the supply valves on and then flushed out the faucet (sans aerator) and there were zero leaks. Sure, you have to snug up all the connections properly but the compression fittings on the supply lines are well made and help to get the job done right, without headaches.I do quite a bit of do-it-yourself house projects and this was between medium and slightly challenging difficulty. (Having another pair of hands to center the faucet while I was under the sink would have helped.) If you are squeamish about plumbing get a pro or a brother-in-law who knows what he is doing. The sturdy heavy feel of the metal, the smart return spring design that retracts the hose and spray head, the no nonsense clean look and durability are all big plusses. While not a true "minus" some people might be surprised that the spray pattern is narrower than similar units by other manufacturers, but it had power to blast crud off of dirty dishes. Also, the button the changes from stream to spray will only change back to stream after the water is turned off. No big deal, just different. Love this thing!

Overpriced, Poor Design, Frustrating Installation
I cannot recommend this faucet. The first one I received had obviously been returned after someone installed it. It even had water in the hose! The second one they sent me came in a crushed box. Really, Amazon? You carefully box many cheap items you send me but not a two hundred and seventy five dollar faucet? The faucet had minor scratches on it.The third one Amazon sent came in it's GROHE carton, again without an outer box. This box was slightly damaged. The faucet did not appear damaged, but when I installed it the hose was binding inside the faucet. The hose on a pull down faucet should move freely. This one didn't. It would move, but with effort and loud clicking sounds as the metal hose dragged on the internal parts of the faucet neck. Poorly designed or defective, I'm not sure which, but no amount of adjustment would reduce the noise or dragging of the hose inside the faucet. Also, GROHE uses a hose mounted spring to assist return of the faucet wand to the arm rather than a simple hose weight like most manufacturers. The spring is a real pain. It comes on a cardboard dowel and requires that the installer move it from the dowel to the hose under the sink. Not an easy task and very frustrating and time consuming. In fact, two of the three faucets I received from Amazon, the spring was loose and off the dowel when I opened the box. What an aggravation compared to using simple gravity to return the wand to the arm.Usually Amazon is good about returns, however I was charged shipping for the return of this ill designed, flawed faucet.I'm a sucker for Amazon and buy a lot of merchandise from them. But this item was a lot of aggravation. Especially when I had to pay to return 3 of them.I bought a Delta Trask at the local L's that looks almost identical and was less expensive. Much better designed and far easier to install. L's price was far less too. I don't know why this item is rated so highly.

Lower height gooseneck with low flow
I relaced an existing faucet with this. I've had it now for a few months. Overall, it looks good and seems solid and well made. I chose it because I wanted a gooseneck to make it easier to get large pots underneath, and I liked the height of this one. I have shelves above the sink and a lot of the goodeneck faucets just seemed too high. I also liked the depth for my sink, which has one bowl larger than the other and so has the faucet mounted off center. As some reviewers mentioned, this is a lower flow fixture. The force of the water with the regular flow is less than my previous faucet. It takes a little getting used to. However, you can turn on the aerated flow without actually pulling out the sprayer - you just push a button on the side of the end of the faucet. So that's what I do if I want a more forceful flow of water. I rarely actually need to pull the sprayer down, but do use it occassionally.Because the faucet is a little higher than the last one, I do find find it splashes a little bit more - maybe I've got to learn to pull the sprayer down more often. I do wish you could turn the spray feature off without turning off the water - that's my main complaint.

WARNING: Too many reports of hose failing, just happened to me, caught in time before water damage.
Believe and read the low ratings. Its true. Installed the faucet Dec 15th 2018, renovated the house and installed new hardwood floors in 2020. Dec 13 2020 hose busted and leaked water in new cabinets and under new hardwood floor. The install is easy and feels high quality. Valve is high quality, hose and nozzle is not high quality and WIll faill. Order your spare and change out if you are nearing a two year install. Not going to waste time looking for replacement hose.
