Works pretty well for what I needed it for, namely as a bit of insurance for underneath my camping stove.In this role, it's saved the day more than once, being able to quickly smother any mishaps before they got completely out of control.Word of warning though, DO NOT MACHINE WASH under any circumstances.I figured I'd give it a wash because it was getting a bit filthy, the edges disintegrated inside my washing machine and sent fine fibres all over the place, clogging the filter and causing a right mess. It's taken multiple flushes and cleaning the filter each time to get it all out of there. If you're tempted, just don't, handwash it instead, I wish I had. Now mine is totally ruined and in the bin. Buying this again though.

Brought to use with a BBQ on a private estate so not to damage the grass. Was confident in it so enjoyed our bbq. I brought the bigger mat and we didn’t need it that big so folded it into quarters. I was very surprised when I extinguished the BBQ to see a burnt patch of grass where it had been!I’m returning mine as even 4 x the thickness folded, the grass still burnt through the mat! Rubbish! Avoid unless you want burnt grass.

With only splinters from my fire pit this fire mat had holes that charred my decking. Waste of money.
