Why does the flexible bits lower collar not sit flush with the screwdriver handle?

The lower collar of the flexible bit is not intended to sit flush with the screwdriver handle. As the flexible bit bends, the lower collar will move down towards the handle which enables the bit to bend.

Will the flexible bit maintain its shape? Will the flexible bit stay bent without my help?

The flex bit will not maintain its flexed position unless held or when a screwdriver bit is fully inserted into a fastener head. The flex bit will spring back straight when not in use. This allows greater torque to be applied when in use.

This flexible screwdriver can be used to access tight spaces that have at least 4 inches (10.16cm) of space when turning the flexible bit perpendicular to the fastener. The maximum diameter of the flexible bit is 1/2" (12.70mm).

To easily remove the bits from the holder, push with your fingers from the bottom of the bit that you want to use.

Needs stronger magnet for bits.

Nice flexible screwdriver I needed for a doorknob since it’s hard to get to the screws. I like the concept of this tool but the magnet to hold the bits tend to be weak and the bit falls off. If the magnet was stronger it would be perfect. Maybe an electrical or rechargeable version would be helpful?
