Clairol Color Crave Semi-permanent Hair Dye, Flamingo Hair Color, 1 Count

Love the rose color this gives on my blonde hair! Lasts for about a week on my hair being my hair is lighter but that’s fine by me.

It does look nice on med brunette hair with some grey strands. I wish it stayed in longer though. It’s easy to apply because no mixing.

I loved this. However, 1- for better color closer to the box front, pre-lighten hair to light blond. They aren’t trying to sell you a bleach kit, they truly are trying to help you get the colour you see on the box as vibrant as possible. 2- to get the box colour that lasts much longer use on dry hair (the boxes have an printing error that says towel dried but it needs to be dry dry) no more than 24 hours out from a wash but no styling products in it. Leave it on for an hour instead of 20 minutes. This won’t fry your hair like regular dye as it has none of the chemicals that permanent dye does. If you want an ombré effect apply to the roots and bring it down a bit. After 20 minutes put some on the roots again and use a hair brush or comb (tighter bristled) and comb stopping about 2 or 3 inches from ends of hair. Then, 20 minutes later repeat combing through to ends. (Option 2) You can dilute a bit with any conditioner and comb through middle of hair then dilute more to comb through ends without the 20 minute waiting and leave on for an hour which will produce an ombré effect also. I’ve also used it on my roots after colouring with their light pink to give a cool shadow root effect which helps cover any regrowth of roots allowing you to go longer between lightening.

I used this to streak the grey in my hair as I grow out the grey. I wanted to add some color because I am so tired of the demarcation line in my shoulder length hair. it was rather messy, but what home hair color is not? It has lasted for many shampoos. My only complaint is the color was not quite what I expected, much more pink, however I am happy with it. I went for more of a streaked look than total coverage of the grey.

First of all I wish I knew why they have a picture of “lavender” color on the front of the box - lavender is LIGHT PURPLE when this product takes on a DARK PURPLE on light/blonde hair!! Secondly it is way too little amount of product I needed 3 boxes for shoulder length hair! Third, The instructions weren’t clear if you put it on wet hair or dry hair because it says to wash your hair first.I had bleached hair that I previously died grayish blue and some parts of my hair which were bleached this didn’t adhere at all. Does that look like the cover of the box! Look at my pic! Maybe I’ll take one in the sun tomorrow but for now I know I wasted my money!

I have 30-40% gray with dark brown hair. I wanted to try lavender for a subtle color cover for the gray. The Clairol Crave did just that, I can see the purple over the grey particularly in the sunlight. When I've used semi permanent color in the past, it was the 2 bottle mix for a chemical color, this is a single tube like a colored conditioner. There is also a little color brush & gloves in the box.I think I have washed my hair 3 times since the first application and it is still visible. Color does wash out each time so I've been careful to dry my hair with older or dark towels which won't be ruined from some color. I have shoulder length hair and will have enough in the tube to do my hair twice.I'm pleased with my little bit of wild hair.

I understand this product is semi permanent, but there is nothing permanent about it. It washed out of my hair in a week.The tube was also very hard to squeeze.

I have dark graying hair with a white stripe in the back. ColorCrave is great for bright color on the gray & white while tinting the dark hair. I've tried several colors and keep going back to Orchid and Scarlet

It's awesome. I use it as a toner with my conditioner. Also it came with a brush for Balayage and such. Nifty.

Kept in on for 45 minutes, did nothing. Don’t buy.
