Hard > Medium, Sugar Wax > Regular Wax
Let me just preface this by saying I'm not girl-saavy. I can't blow dry or style my hair nor can I wax or thread. I also don't have the patience to shave multiple times a week. I tried bead wax and it was messy and time consuming. I looked into sugar wax when I saw a video of someone getting it professionally done and it looked so fast and easy. I tried to make my own at home maybe 10+ times and of those 10+ times I was only successful once. I almost gave up on sugar waxing till I figured I'd look into amazon to see if they sell any pre-made and lo and behold I came across this brand. Since I'm a total noob I had no idea what level to get but I knew for sure I didn't want soft since that requires wax strips/fabric and ain't nobody got time for that. So, I bought medium and hard. I first started off with medium and it. Was. A. Nightmare. The wax got everywhere and it stuck to my hands making it completely unmanageable. I have no idea why they said you could do this with your hands because when it comes to medium you can't. Maybe I'm just inexperienced. Who knows? So, I then tried hard and boy let me tell you it was so. Much. Better. Absolutely life changing. It was so easy to pick up and it wasn't overly sticky on my hands. After it warms up thoroughly it did a great job pulling hair from my legs, arms, and bikini area. It definitely does take practice and getting used to in terms of using it but overall I got 80% of the hair off my body and the other 20% I could've continued doing it but again my patience wore thin. After using the same wax ball for a while it does get super sticky and unmanageable which at that point I just threw out and got a new one. There will be sticky residue left on your body but that's easily solved by taking a warm shower and wiping your body down or getting a warm, wet towel and cleaning your body with that. Overall, yes sugar wax is messy like regular wax but it is SO much faster which is awesome if you have little patience like myself. If you prefer less chaos and like to take your time then regular wax is better for you.

Did you know about this??
Are you kidding me? I'm so pissed off. You mean I could have been doing this from the start? Why didn't anyone tell me?! I was looking into various waxing options when I came across sugaring. I wasn't really sold on the concept because it looked the same as waxing regularly. But it wasn't super expensive so I grabbed the hard kind (reviews mentioned it working better). It was visibly super thick and sticky when I opened the container. I had a bit of difficulty getting it out of the tub, but once I got enough I immediately tried it on my arm. Omfg ... it took the hair off immediately and didn't hurt much at all. I tried it on my leg hair thinking it was probably a fluke and same result. I am shook. For the record, I watched a couple videos before trying it out - one professional and one amateur. I didn't use gloves or talc. In an hour I did both arms and knee down of both legs. Then my fingers got tired and I was sticky so I gave up, but I'm gonna finish the rest tomorrow. Considering that I was successful on my first try and got pretty good results I would easily recommend this to everyone. I would also add that you probably need gloves just to keep the sugar from melting as quickly, but I was still able to do an arm and half a leg with the same ball before it turned into putty. I didn't need the talc and I'm not sure if it's necessary at all, but I might try it out some other time. Please also don't think it's completely painless...I have a pretty high threshold but the back of my knees still hurt. I would assume bikini waxing would still be pretty painful. I've also seen done other brands come with a "flicker" and I'm gonna look into one because it's a pretty thick spread and eventually my fingers needed a break. I'm not going back to waxing. This is easier, faster, and probably cheaper. I'm hoping results do last longer but who cares since it's so easy. The only downside is the container...I wish it was thicker so it didn't warp when trying to get the sugar out. Otherwise, I'm sold and I will go shouting from the rooftops so everyone knows this is an option for hair removal.

Gets over worked and gummy very easily. Even after using a good size glob it gets too warm and too soft very quickly
