Everyone loves to be treated like gold and these sheets perform that task diligently. With flannel sheets there is always the concern of them pilling off the mattress rendering bedtime uncomfortable but then again, the Pinzon heavyweight chamois cotton flannel sheets render this myth obsolete.These sheets have been sheered on both sides to prevent pilling and don’t forget the 15 inches pockets on all sides. They may seem expensive ($64.99) than normal sheets but the trade-off of having to sleep like a king or queen compensates for the price. These sheets are napped on both sides so as to increase the velvety feel. The weaving technique employed on these sheets helps keep the body temperature in the normal range. Even during winter time, the body will still feel warm.The quality is retained even after numerous washing. They don’t pill or even thin in years. They are so easy to care for as they only require you to machine wash them and then tumble dry them or hang them on a clothes line. Avoid hot washing sheets because they will be over wrinkled and hard work to iron. If you have a thicker mattress, the sheets have elastics on all sides that secure them on the mattress. Pinzon claim that their sheets can fit mattresses of up to 18 inches. Chamois being a neutral color also coordinates well with any duvet color. I ordered 5 sets of sheets from various manufacturers (all were claiming “Heavy Weight”). Only 2 provided an actual measurable “weight” on their descriptions but there was no way to compare or correlate the 2 weights. Such as 170/190 gram for the Pinzon Sheets vs 5-6oz for a couple other ‘heavy weight’ brands.Having them all arrive at about the same time I was actually able to “feel” the weight and softness of each. I had purchased my Pinzon sheet sets 8 years ago and they have been wonderful! They don’t pill and leave fuzz balls all over the floor as some others do and are amply deep pocketed for our 18” mattress. They launder very well. It took 8 years to get to the point of retiring them. I’m always looking for something better’ but in this case I think I will stop looking (unless quality begins to change)! Part of what prompted looking at others is that the color/pattern choices are limited.After comparing the 5 sets of sheets I can tell you now that a 5-6 OZ weight sheet is NOT heavy duty compared to the Pinzon 170-190 gram weight sheets!! I would rate the 5-6 oz at a good medium weight. The ‘feel’ isn’t as dense and feels thin. The FLANNEL portion of the sheet only felt soft on one side and I just didn’t think they would launder well and still have the flannel softness or feel after a few washes. After owing and using the Pinzon brand now for the last 8 years - I can say they DO NOT have a problem with any of that. We use our flannel sheets all year round. I also have a set of high end thread count sheets that are very very soft and I like them for a change every now and then but when my husband comes home I make sure to have the flannels on as when I had the other ones on he did remark that he didn’t like them as much even tho they are buttery soft Egyptian cotton, high thread count and elegant. (I actually didn’t think he would notice but he did! Just goes to show men do notice more than we give them credit for sometimes LOL!)In summary, Pinzon sheets are definitely durable, well made and at 170-190 GRAMS, Heavy Weight. I just wish they had a larger selection of colors/patterns. The Thyme Green sheets and Pinzon Paisley pillowcases look very nice together 😁

La tela es muy suave, Son muy caliente tas porque son como de franela, y lo mejor es que puedes secarlas en la máquina y salen perfectas. Me encantaron. Relación precio calidad excelente

Son mucho mas gruesas de lo que pensé. Me encantaron son super suaves y calenttitas, idealaes para el invierno, me gustaron tanto que compró otro juego para mi hija y otro para mi mamá. El unico incoveniente es que por lo mismo del grosor al lavarlas absorben muchisima agua y se vuelven muy pesadas, hya que poner el ciclo de exprimir varias veces. Muy buen producto y a un buen precio.

I just had one nights sleep on these and they are the best flannel sheets I have every used. They are really soft and not so heavy that it made me too warm. When I woke up on a cold fall morning it was a struggle to get out of bed, not because I wasn't well rested but just because it was just so comfortable.I've purchased more expensive high quality flannel in the past and these, by far, are better value. They fit my deep mattress well and the elastic around the fitted sheet works great to hold the bottom sheet in place without bunching up, although I slept so well I hardly moved.The after first wash coming out of the packaging you might have to clean the dryer lint trap a couple of times. Hopefully this is just a case of the first wash and not a continued trend that would wear out the flannel quickly. I washed on delicate cycle, low heat, and even took the sheets out slightly damp to let them air dry. Hopefully the durability weill be as a good as how these sheets feel.
