Good As A Stand Alone
What I enjoyed about this book was the interplay between the authors while discussing specific architects and particular holes the architect had done. Most of all, I loved the hole diagrams and drawings. This book would make a terrific introductory piece to someone who is just getting interested in golf course architecture, and also a nice addition for the more learned. I also recommend getting the related dvd.

Excellent
Very good book on golf course architecture. Unusual style as a conversation between the two, but tons of insight. Really enjoyed it.

Golf design
I liked most of it and it followed the history of golf course design. I would have liked something on Cornish from New England
