Universal Samsung-TV-Remote, BN59-01315J Remote Replacement for All Samsung LCD LED HDTV 3D Smart TVs

I just bought a new Samsung S95F 65" TV from Amazon. Great TV BUT the remote is not so great. It's like the cars that put all their user inputs into menus on screens and removed all the buttons and knobs. The Samsung-shipped remote has no "Source" button, no "Previous Channel" button, no number buttons. It takes 2X, 3X, 4X more button presses to navigate the on-screen menus with the new remote than with this one with dedicated buttons. Bad design! So I bought this universal Samsung TV remote for about $7 and it WORKS on the S95F. The previous channel button works; the number pad works, the Source button works. If I want to go from channel 5 to channel 65-3 this remotes does it MUCH faster and easier than the remote shipped with the new TV. Same with changing from Roku to TV. Same for previous channel. BTW, on the new remote you have to press the 123 button. Then one-by-one select the on-screen channel numbers, then press on-screen done icon, then do that all over again for a second channel in order for the Return button to jump back to the previous channel. Otherwise you cannot jump back to the previous channel! So, if you have a new Samsung TV with the "smart" (really STUPID) remote, pay the $7 and buy this remote to much more easily operate many of the common functions on the TV.

This appeared to work OK with new batteries, but I discovered one of my batteries was bad which is why my original remote wasn't working. When I put a different battery in the old one, it worked, so I returned this one.

My Samsung TV came with a new style remote without push buttons. I wanted the usual mega button remote. It works fine, but I wish the size of the fast forward/reverse/pause/play buttons were as large as the numbered buttons. For people with smaller fingers, it's probably fine.

I need it for my TV; it's very practical because the remotes always get lost.
