Power Maths 2nd Edition Practice Book 5B (Power Maths Print)

Perfect for consolidation of in class learning

I’m a school teacher and at my school we use these books as they cover the whole curriculum (in three parts for each term). I decided to buy them for my cousins as it will help them learn the same curriculum in the same order.

This book is great for extra practice and aligns with the methods used in schools. Just be warned that there are many errors in the answer booklet (provided online). You could forgive an accidental error where the wrong number has been printed, but this book has an answer which states that 50% of the numbers in the times table (from 1 to 100) are even and 50% are odd because every other number is odd or even!!!!!!!! Someone didn't pay attention in maths class and forgot that any multiple of an even number is always even!

I find these books really wordy and the challenge questions are often trial and error which I find hard and I did maths to a higher level.The reason for the purchase as these are used in school.Excellent quality sturdy books.

The reason for buying this book was to practice with my child as school seems to skip into topics and areas and skips out. It does seem that the school experience for us seems to be a little lacking and this book helps to consolidate topics to allow a better understanding and practice.What is missing is the answers on the back which would be useful for marking but I guess parent and child can use the book to up ones mathematical knowledge and skills.

Not really for year 5. Too easy
