RDL EZ-MX4L 4 Channel Stereo Line Level Mixer

So for what I do (which is game commentaries on YouTube), I needed to be able to hear from multiple sources while recording both game footage on consoles and Skype audio on my computer. Before, I would just have two headsets, one turned up pretty loud around my neck...but obviously I couldn't hear the games very well which was very inconvenient and made the effort pointless.Eventually I tried a couple of other products around the $50 range that claimed to mix audio into stereo, and while they weren't wrong...they were generally really low quality. Either they were really quiet, or had a large amount of static, or both...it was a struggle, especially since sounds through a headset are bit more delicate than just listening to stuff on speakers, which is what it seemed like the products were aiming for.I decided that it would probably be better to just find a more professional mixing device and, if I had to, just use a ton of cable adapters. After searching around in incrementally higher price ranges, I found this! In comparison to what I had purchased before, and for my purposes, this is perfect! Honestly, I'm only deducting a star because...its pricey for what I need it for. I mean, $160 is like half the cost of a console! and this...puts audio together. With that said, I can hear why someone would want to use this in a professional setting as well.Because the device is powered via a power adapter, the audio is not quiet like some of the cheaper, non powered RDL variants I tried before, also (because its powered) you can even boost the audio to be louder than normal, which is great for typically low volume movies or games when you already have the sound maxed out on their respective devices. The knobs are also useful, obviously, for controlling what I hear over what, however it has the bonus of not effecting the volume of my recordings if I say, need to lower the game volume to be able to hear people on Skype. And, my favorite part..I hear no static or hiss in my headset at all, even with 3 inputs (my 2 PCs and my consoles) maxed out on the knobs (which I'd...advise against, but its noteworthy). Its like my headset is connected to the audio sources directly, which is exactly what I needed.Build wise, for being small (it fits in my hand!) its pretty sturdy with an aluminum/plastic shell (its actually survived a few falls from my desk with no problem) and a good number of RCA inputs (thankfully I was able to use stereo-to-RCA cables for all of my needs). The knobs have a good bit of resistance so you probably won't be accidentally messing with your audio levels, and there's an output level indicator on the front to let you know when maybe things are getting a bit too loud.Overall, it does what it claims to and, at least to my non audiophile ears, it sounds perfect.

Works. I use this to run 4 Xboxs into my surround soud. This is the perfect tool. It mixes sterio sound, with variable imputs. If I were to use it to mix audio, or music, it works perfectly for that as well. As it is powered it can boost the signal. I would not buy anyother product. It was worth every penny.

This mixer is a great one to have. I was surprised. It is much smaller than the other one and I thought it wouldn't be powerful enough, but it is. Very compact, very powerful and just excellent to own!

I have been using this for over 2 years now, it is so good I bought another one for backup. It allows me to receive audio inputs from 4 different computers and output them to one set of speakers. It comes with an AC Power Adapter, offers high SNR, no noise, no deterioration to the audio signal, different types of inputs. what else you want? Just buy it

GD does this sound good!I replaced an old dj mixer that I though had great sound. Boy was I wrong! This is pure made in the USA quality! A little expensive for what it does but worth ever penny.

I was worried this might colour the signal coming through it but it's as transparent as you can ask for. Packaged with love and built like a tank. Well worth the price.
