... Murray wears these for tennis so they should be good for me
Andy Murray wears these for tennis so they should be good for me. They are made well and look like they will provide support when I get back to playing. 7 weeks out now and thinking of trying tomorrow. Update - May 2015 I am wearing these on both ankles now for tennis. The first couple of times out after I was able to play again I had to get used to the feeling of them. I found that tall socks help them feel more comfortable. The stability is excellent. I don't notice them any more and feel that they help me a lot. The sense of dread that occurs when you go for a shot is gone. You know, that little voice that pops up and says "this might hurt" but you take the chance with the shot anyway. Well, that little voice is quiet these days! These supports will be as important to me as my racquet is! I'll be wearing supports from here on in because I don't ever want another ankle sprain and the accompanying 3 months off the court. Thanks Aircast! Oh, BTW, sizing....I wear a 12 to 13 shoe depending on the brand so I ordered the large support. It's a bit big. I have not tried the medium, but it is probably too small. Story of my life! Even in jeans I'm a 33 - 32 too tight, 34 too loose!

Thank you
Can't say enough! My daughter wore an afo for years. But as she got older that didn't work for her! Now we've been using these for years!! Amazing alternative. And gave her much more freedom with show choices!

Exactly what I needed and expected.
I have dropfoot (a dead foot that I can't move). I trip over my foot often, and this helps keep it at a right angle to prevent this. This condition also puts me at high risk to roll, sprain or break my ankle at at any time, even just walking around the house. This lightweight brace is not cumbersome and can fit in certain shoes, if they're large enough. It's comfortable to wear around the house and gives me the protection I need. The only thing that could make it better is if there were a thin sole on the bottom. I suspect the fabric on the brace will wear down easily under my foot. I wear a soft slipper with a sole over it most of the time for this reason.

Good quality support for the price
This feels good when wearing a sock under it. I should have waited longer for my fractured 5th metatarsal to heal and my ankleโs swelling to go down before trying it on. Now that I am healing and walking better after only 2weeks, I am truly benefiting from the braceโs support. It does go on and off well, quick to put on and secure the support strap. The plastic braces in the sides fit around my ankle. These also wrap around under the foot. Itโs only slightly uncomfortable the first wear, but I became less sensitive to it with each use. The brace is a little more bulky than I expected, though I still have some swelling in my ankle and foot, but it still works with my five ten MTB shoes and hiking boots. Iโm still curious how this brace compares to other lace-up designs. I just wanted something to help get me confidently back in action. I wish the โblackโ option was completely black, but thatโs just a cosmetic issue.

DOES NOT HAVE A LONG LIFE
Our son rolled his ankle and a football game. I purchased this ankle support which really stabilized it. And he felt it was comfortable enough for practice and games. Another reviewer said it lasted two months for them. Iโm not even sure we got that much use out of it. It broke in the plastic area which wraps around the bottom of your foot (similar to how a stirrup does). That plastic stirrup Snapped right in half (exactly in the middle) and began poking through the cloth covering. And similar to most like-minded teenagers-who believe they know everything (they really do! just ask one!) He continued to wear it broken through a few practices and a football game! Until the broken plastic cut through to the bottom of heel! The idjit . Do yourself a favor and save your 50 bucks and put it toward a higher priced brace. I wish I would have done so. I actually read all the one star reviews and completely ignored them. Perhaps I am the Idjitโฆ

Get Back in the Game!
I bought this for a teen basketball player who sprained his ankle during a game. The brace advertisement says it offers light support. It goes on easily over the foot and secures around ankle with a Velcro strap easily. It has semi rigid sides to help support the ankle and keep it from rolling. After a period of rest, treatment, and exercises to strengthen his ankle, the teen was able to comfortably resume playing basketball while wearing this brace. It goes on over a sock and will fit inside a sneaker. Itโs also washable. Perfect for an active athlete who doesnโt want to fuss with a lot of tape or bandages but needs the support. Great product.

Just OK.
The sizing is a bit off. I wear a size 13 (US) shoe, so I bought the larger brace according to the sizing chart. Well the brace does't get as tight as I'd like it to around the upper part of my ankle. It is great around the lower ankle and heel. Also the plastic support on the outside has worn through the grey mesh after roughly 10-15 uses playing volleyball. I am very disappointed in this. Were it has worn through is higher than my show, so it is the brace that has worn through itself. Overall the brace provides good support and mobility for playing volleyball and everyday use. I think that I will go for a little more support and less mobility for my next brace though.

This is a great, moderate support option that is very quick to put on and take off.
I have been using this for several months now and am well pleased. It is quick and easy to use. If you are wearing high top shoes, the support is very strong. This particular brace needs the stability of the high topped (or at least mid rise) shoe to provide its best support. I feel very secure when I wear it to play basketball and I'm not bothered by it at all when I play for 2 hours straight.
