Put on gloves, have fun throwing a few, then wait...they work.
I would HIGHLY recommend doing this in the winter time as they will kill mice, and fast. Throw about 4-6 of them into the eaves or high traffic areas and the pitter-patter of little night feet will begin to go away. Will all of the mice die outside the home due to dehydration? NO!Will some die right above your head and begin to smell a bit? Probably. Do you want to spend hundreds upon hundreds of dollars for traps and peanut butter to then get each mouse down, one at a time? No. Do you want disgusting, bloated, eyes near popped out (yes, this happens due to the force) mice from a horrific SNAP TRAP? No.This is far more humane imo as the poison just works. It is fast, easy, even somewhat fun, and there is no unwrapping, just reach in and throw. There area TON of bricks and you do not need that many to do the job. The JUG of bricks is enough for 20 houses imo, but that is what you get.You can buy this, throw a few dozen in for each of your neighbors in a thick ziplock bag, and STILL have plenty left over.KILL TIME: This is tough to say, depends on time, temperature, feeding habits, need for water, etc. My guess is about 1-2 weeks you will notice less noise.THE SMELL: Yes, you will smell dead mice depending on height of ceiling, if they fall in between walls and die there, if they die in the garage walls (which is open air, yet contained), etc. Winter time is better and by the time the thaw comes, the mouse is pretty much a skeleton that fades away slowly. Summer - whew, you will smell it. Anyone who says otherwise is lying or has lost their sense of smell.ITS EFFECTIVENESS: Very effective. You will kill your mice.EASE OF USE: If you can throw a wrench, you can throw this kill bait. Mice might dodge a wrench, but they won't dodge this.

Rodents seem to eat it. This is the kind with the holed drilled through.
TomCat sells two kinds. These are the ones with the holes in them to slide onto the locator rods. They work well. The rodents seem to eat them up pretty quickly and their numbers seem to be reduced.Several years ago we hade a major rodent infestation in our garage, they ate wiring, tunneled into the upholstery, and left little turds all over the floor. After that, we put a half dozen of the TomCat bait stations around the yard. The bait segments seem to be consumed fairly quickly. We've not had a major rodent issue in our garage since that.

I wish it would kill voles
I got this to kill voles but didn’t work. I can’t blame the product too much because it’s more for mice and rats. I found 2 dead squirrels but the voles ate them and survived. What animal the size of a rat can eat poison and live? I’m going to try the peanut butter flavor to give it one last chance. I’ve tried everything

Stops mice fast!
I spent months using another brand that was similar to this, but less expensive. I bought 3 buckets and replaced the eaten bait blocks every day. I switched to this one and filled the bait stations one time. That was a few months ago. They are dead. All of them. I'm a little sad that I have so much bait left over, but this is definitely worth the money if you are struggling with a mouse problem! Take my word for it! They were stopped within a few days for the most part!
