Works Powerfully
You are supposed to dilute before using. The directions are minuscule as in font size 2. You need a magnifying glass to read. 2/3rds of the directions are warnings before you get to the usage in the bottom paragraph. I got some full-strength on my skin and it burned/tingled all night long. You are not supposed to rinse it off after applying. Apply every 14 days to dogs only and premises. In the case of mites (mange), the eggs hatch in 14 days. But you will have to continue to keep treating if you don't remove the source of the infestation. This is a very good product. At 17% Permethrin and 4.25% Piperonyl Butoxide + other ingredients. You need the second ingredient Piperonyl Butoxide increases effectiveness for Permethrin resistant mites. This is stronger than the 10% livestock pour-on.

Words can't describe how grateful I am
The first time I ever took my dog, to a vet 13 years ago, she said, "Be very careful, he has sensitive skin." I didn't know what she meant, I wish I asked, because since then it's been an uphill battle with his poor skin. He is always itchy, allergic to fleas, gets yeast infections... anything that can go wrong does and he's ALWAYS itchy. We've tried sulfur shampoos, oatmeal, aloe, creams, changing his diet, but nothing provided more than temporary relief. This spring, he started losing fur along his spine and I thought "FLEAS!" Fleas will make my dog go -bald- in a matter of weeks so I freaked out and started looking everywhere for them. No fleas. Not one. Exacerbated, I started my search for the 13th year for something that would help my poor itchy dog. Originally thinking Happy Jack was a shampoo, I sort of rolled my eyes and put it in my cart with some https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071WCV19B of these immuno vitamins. Bacterial and fungal infections, as well as mange, can all be helped with a stronger immune system. When I got to the bottle of Happy Jack, though, I was disappointed. It seemed expensive for so little shampoo. And then when I read the instructions, that this was to be rubbed into his skin and left to dry, I was extremely dubious. He's a pekingese with medium length fur... he'd be wet all day. Still, I followed the instructions, put on my kitchen gloves, and started smearing him in this very foul smelling oil. I expected him to freak out, since he hates the smelly sulfur rinses, but he immediately relaxed. He let me massage his whole body in oil, loved it! Was upset when I stopped! And then... he slept for hours and hours and hours. Peaceful and soothed. I repeated until the bottle was empty, about 5-6 days. The smell is overwhelming for me. My whole house seemed to smell of pine tar and it covered my tongue and throat. Who cares?! My dog felt amazing during treatments and itching was reduced 90%. It's now been 2 weeks since treatment...Dog is doing great. I see 75% reduction in itching, the bald spots are robustly growing new hair, the skin is white and clear. Even the black spots on his belly lightened by several shades. I plan to buy another bottle in a couple weeks for more spot-therapy. I want to treat his most targeted areas maybe once a week to keep him as comfortable as possible. I also want to treat his tummy to see if we can't get it a nice healthy color. It's been a long road but my dog is actually sleeping through the night... which NEVER happens. He'll sleep in! He doesn't have to be babysat because he rolls around all day. He doesn't itch himself until he cries. And that is worth ANYTHING. Thank you Happy Jack for being a cure all for ALL the itchiness that plagues my poor dog.

DEAR LORD BUT IT STINKS!
So here’s the thing:This stuff REEKS.Like a lactose intolerant person drank a gallon of milk, ate a pound of cheese, downed a few yogurts, topped it off with ice cream and then went and let loose at a hot springs. In simpler terms: The sulfur is STRONG with this one.You know what else it is?Very difficult to wash off. The instructions tell you to wash well with dog shampoo afterwards. Let me just tell you that you will have to wash a minimum of twice and possibly three or four times in order to get all of the pervasive stuff out of your best buddy’s fur. That having been said...THIS STUFF WORKS!!I tried two anti-parasitic shampoos for a week each(and to be honest I washed her twice with anti parasitic shampoo after using this stuff) and neither one was doing the trick. Two days after applying this nasty stuff her skin is healing nicely and her hair looks like it might be trying to grow back. We’re still going to the vet tomorrow, this was just to hold us over until we could get in.See photos to see the difference in her bald spot after two days and two applications. It may be a subtle change for some to see, but to me it’s as different as night and day. It looks WAY better. Not nearly as inflamed and the scabby bits are healing up.I was skeptical, but I’m glad I did it.OH! ONE MORE THING!!THEY ARE NOT SCREWING AROUND WHEN THEY SAY USE GLOVES. IT IS UNPLEASANT (TO SAY THE LEAST) WHEN YOU GET IT ON YOUR SKIN.*I took off one star because it’s nasty and extremely difficult to get off. Pretty sure it has to be though, in order to work properly.

Works, but smells really bad.
Our dog had an undiagnosed little patch on her back that started to scab and she eventually lost her hair in the area and the skin turned dark. Every where else on her body was fine. I bought anti-inch and antifungal/antibacterial shampoos and nothing ever worked. I bought this off Amazon and for the most part it did the trick. Her hair is slowly growing back and the skin surrounding it is healing and no longer dark colored. The reason for only the 3 star review instead of 5 is due to the smell. I thought the other reviewers were being wimps originally.... but damn this stuff is strong. I don't mind it so much but our dog (<10lb border terrier mix) seemed super miserable with it on. She wouldn't eat. She wouldn't play. She was visibly mopey. To the point the I got worried and would wash the medicine off from her skin after a couple hours. I can't imagine a dog needing their whole body treated.Besides that, it doesn't come with instructions so I took direction from other online user. All in all, it works. Just be prepared for the strong lemony turpentine smell and to stay consistent. with it.
