This is our most economical model, the bread and butter of our range of Tankless on demand water heaters and retails at an amazingly low price. This unit was designed and built to last. It is feature laden and very versatile. Internally it goes by many names, such as the camping model, the workshop model or portable model. It really is that versatile. The simple design is aesthetically pleasing and the design brief was to make a rugged powerful water heater. We think that we got it right it exemplifies the EZ Tankless philosophy, as it easy to use, easy to install and easy on the pocket this model delivers up to 1.6 gallons per minute of consistent and continuous hot water which makes it a perfect point of use water heater. Features such as low water pressure ignition, which means that this heater can function at very low hot water requirements or with very looming cold water pressure.

Buy another brand like Marey
Folks, I bought this heater when the crazy Texas storm last month caused my Marey to freeze and crack it's insides apart.I bought this one because it's essentially the same heater...well...it would be if the "finishing" touches were anything close to competent. I installed this today and when tightening the hot water return, the bracket designed to hold the pipe in place bent, twisted, and the pipe broke - all in a 1/4 turn!I state again, I have installed several units before, never had this happen. The picture is the old Marey plate that held the pipe in place next to this pathetic little piece of scrap used on this unit. And thanks to this design feature, there is no place to hold the pipe with a second wrench to stabilize and prevent twist.Buy a different unit. I grabbed spare copper parts and rebuilt mine, and will see if it's water tight later today, but if not, all my money spent on this unit is right down the drain - warranty states it's only covered if a plumber installs it...wonder why...Not going to give it one star unless it doesn't work after my plumbing / pipe fix.EDIT: Total loss - leaking in another place high up (not my repair). DO NOT BUY THIS HEATER.

Fantástic water heater/replacement for RV
My rv has a gas stove, and and a 30000 btu blue flame heater and eZ tankless 101 all of which run off of the rv gas line which is connected to a 250 gallon propane tank with the regulater at the tank, I can also use the 30 pound rv tanks if needed , which have their own regulater also,, it runs off a bbq propane tank or a large 250,500, 1000 gallon tankIt works great with the rv water pump also and what I really like best about my setup is I can take a hot shower and not even have to crank up the generator!!I replaced the tiny 5 gallon dual electric/gas operated water heater with this and it works great in winter and out freaking standing in the summer with the correct selections on the temp and flame control.I just used the gas supply line that originally went to the tiny 5 gallon tank ,, mounted it in the end bedroom,, knocked out the top window and replaced it with a piece of fire board and cut a hole for the vent to vent the exhaust to the outside, easy peasy,, LoLI highly recommend this to anyone wanting to replace that tiny rv water heater or for a cabin, bunkhouse, shed etcI have 4 stars due to the flow rate,,

Works BETTER than others at the same price point.
After trying several of these little propane water heaters for offgrid showering and kitchen use, this thing really performs well.VERY consistent with the right sediment screen in front and water filter to keep it clear, it works with as little as 1.2gpm.EXCELLENT low pressure performance. Temp control is not great, like most propane units, but better than most. Can get good temperature shower water with this. No problem.Good buy.

awesome
This is my second ez 101. The first one was lost in our house fire and I absolutely loved it. I use this in my off grid home along with a PWP (pro water parts) 2 gallon expansion tank that I also ordered here on Amazon. I would recommend this or the ez202 over any other hot water heater for anyone wanting to have hot water in an off grid (or no electricity situation) application.

I am not thrilled about the flow rate on these ...
I am not thrilled about the flow rate on these, but these EZ Tankless heaters are work horses and have lasted years in not friendly environments. I have been using them for 8 years and will continue.

Great once you set it up
We bought this product mostly for camping, but it would also be good for bathing the dog. Once you have it set up (we attached it to an old appliance dolly) it does exactly what it says--it provides INSTANT hot water. I'm not talking several seconds. I'm talking maybe two seconds--and that's counting the time it takes for the water to travel from the hose bib to the appliance. Now, you want to be aware that you need some extra parts to make this thing work, and the only real issue (not insurmountable) is that you have to get the right fittings. You need an inline filter for the hose and adapters to convert your GHT (garden hose fitting) to a half-inch NPT inlet on the appliance. The water outlet is also 1/2 inch NPT, so if you want to run the heated water to a faucet, you need to make sure you have a 1/2 inch female to whatever you need to attach to. Finally, you need a LP gas regulator and hose (standard grill type), but you need THAT also to attach to a 1/2 inch NPT male fitting, so you'll need to use an adapter for that, too. Now, note carefully, I had to remove the rubber washer in the LP hose I bought to allow the adapter to seat properly. I used the yellow Teflon tape on the fittings, just to be safe, but that might not have been necessary. As for the exhaust, the pipe is also non-standard. A 3" exhaust pipe is too small and a 4" is too big. You need to make an adapter or find one at a specialty store, or get one from the company that manufactures this device if they sell one. But because we intend to use it only in a very well-ventilated environment (pretty much outside), we just dropped a 4" rain cap over it with a crimped bottom to give it a little grip.Your biggest issue will just be setting it up, but let me tell you, once I got it done correctly, it worked. I mean, IT WORKED.

Great Value but Needs Some Small Improvements
Installed this a month ago in an outdoor shower that I built. Works really well! I would give it 5 stars if it had a better set of connectors because I had to make several trips to the hardware store to find the proper adapters to hook up the water and gas lines. Also, it would be nice if a chimney cap was included. If you install this outdoors it is easy for debris from trees and plants to get into the chimney and catch fire. I put a piece of window screen over it to fix this problem.

Completely useless for an actual shower
This product looks good but the burners are so small that get water hotter than lukewarm the flow must be turned to a trickle. It is designed to increase the inlet water temp about 30 degrees. So if you inlet water is 60 degrees then you get 90 degree and very little flow. I waited too long to return it and now have a Takagi propane instant heater than delivers unlimited 120 degree water for my Sprinter conversion
