NOVA: The Origami Revolution DVD

I really enjoyed his dvd. It makes kids realize the importance and value of learning origami to art and manufacturing and robotics.

This Nova program covers the beauty of origami though the creations of masters of origami from across the world while also showing us how origami is being used in medicine,science,and space exploration.

I saw this program on tv and was thrilled to have a chance to share iycAnother present for my grandson! He loves this video which makes me happy. It arrived quickly and safely.

I used this in a couple of my classes. It works well in my Advanced Math to show how origami is studies by mathematicians. I also show it to my Design and Modeling class to show them how engineers are using folding techniques in their design.

I saw this on TV and couldn't wait to buy it on DVD. I also wish it would come in blu ray. Awesome doc!

I was in awe the whole time when watching the DVD.

This documentary by NOVA was excellent. It perfectly wove together the children's game of origami - making cranes and small figures - with the origami of Nature in the folding of early leaves in buds and butterflies in cocoons to the astro-engineer's designing and creating folded machines to be unfolded in space. The dvd was planned and executed with finesse and is an inspiration to parents and teachers to encourage children in this activity with the hope these children will later apply what they learned in mathematics and science.
