This may sound silly. can i use this as a single channel amp where all the power can be used used for the left channel with the use of splitter cable?

Not a silly question. You can use this amp as a single channel. Input to only 1 L or R input. Combining L and R in to one cable if that is what you meant by splitter cable, is not recommended as you may be inputing too much signal voltage and get distortion. I would recommend using only the right channel output from your source as the right output is typically louder and stronger.

My aiyima a08 pro will not pair with my chromecast with google tv via bluetooth, but it will pair with everything else. why would this be?
