This new beverage combines the pleasant fizziness of Sanbittèr with the lively and strong taste of blackcurrant juice. These small black berries, rich in seed with an intense aroma and a pleasantly sour taste, are typical red summer fruits, and are characterized by a peak which looked like a flower. Their name has Arabic origins, the result of cultural influences between East and West. The Arabs in fact consumed since ancient times a refreshing drink, a syrup made from Rheum Ribes, a plant common in those regions. In the course of their travels in Europe and Spain, they found a surrogate which they called "Ribes" (currant). The juice of these little berries in recent times has been revalued, to become glamorous with consumers increasingly looking for products from the original taste.
