Quality and Ease-of-Installation
Awesome kit! My wife and I have done several ebike conversions now and the EBIKELING kits are by far our favorite and most trust-worthy venue! The quality and materials are very very good - great value for the dollar. The motors are whisper quiet and have a ton of torque! Our recent frames went from 750W scenarios to 48V 1500W rear-hub motors with 52V 1500W 20Ah batteries and boy, these bikes go like a bat out of hell...wicked fast!!! Plus, the bikes now have so much torque it easily hauls my chubby ass up our steep hill without a problem :) We spent a little extra money on the higher-end range of Tektro brake kits and levers and Shimano shifters and cables. Another favorite aspect of the EBIKELING kit is that the controller has an extra 2-pin red barrel connector in case you want to hard-wire a headlight or tail light. Plus the LCD G-51 display is a good unit and very easy to program. All-in-all, you really can't do better, especially with the value-to-dollar aspect. And finally, their customer service is excellent...we had several questions via both email and their US-based tech support line and they responded quickly and were super helpful (and nice). Happy Trails everyone!!! --Pleased in San Diego, CA :)

My favorite aordable rear hub kit so far.
I like the easy install plug-and-play wiring system. 2 hours conversion for a Giant Warp DS2 mountain bike. LCD controller display is worth the extra money over the base LED. I do not like the half grip twist throttle. Would have preferred a full grip twist, as on a motorcycle. Would suggest manufacturer use an XT90 battery connector not the XT60 on the 48volt kit. 37MPH on the level ground with a half charged 52volt battery. I've installed other 1500W rear hub kits. This is the one I like most.

Great and Fast Ebike Kit!
I ordered this kit as well as the 1200W 700c kit for a road bike, and I love them. They’re well made and thoughtfully put together. The customization capability is tremendous.I’ve been able to get the 700c bike up to 30 MPH and the 26 Inch fat tire bike up to about 28 MPH with throttle-only. (I’m about 215 pounds.). Note - I do not recommend riding at that speed regularly although the fat bike handles the high 20s with greater stability than the 700c bike.Make sure the 48v battery you use has at least a 25 Amp continuous discharge (1,200 Watts = 48 Volts X 25 Amps). Many 48v batteries out there are designed for 250 or 500 watts.Customer support is great too. Through my own carelessness not greasing the axle Bolts, I stripped several nuts. I reached out to Ebikeling via email just enquirer about the axle nut size (M14 X 1.0 MM pitch by the way), and they offered to send me replacement nuts for free without even asking.Updated to include pictures with proper fat bike fenders, which is essential for city commuting in any wet conditions/puddles if you don’t want your clothes to get messy...

Good buy
I have this kit awhile now and after a few installation issues to get it to match the bike (not Ebikelings fault) it is an overall good kit. First its better than most kits because the cables are all molded connectors and not the thin cheap wires many kits have, so less chance of shorting out. The cables get warm but I'm sure they are using the proper gauge wires if they go to the trouble to mold on connectors. Thats a very big plus. The only issue I have is the design of the wires leaving the motor at 90 degree angles. This cramps the wires, and if you use thick headed bolts for your disc brake rotor then they might rub. Also this design does not allow you the option of adding on more washers. I always push a bolt of silicon rubber in the center to hold the wires from moving less and avoiding any future problems. This is a bike seller and not an online store selling seconds and other products Best to buy directly from them. Look for kits where the wire exits the axle straight out the center for longer life. But overall and for the money this is a much better kit than many online. I have put lots of miles on it and its still going strong. UPDATE: I just passed 350 miles with this kit, and I have tried several and none lasted very long. But this has molded cables and things that make it a superior buy. I will certainly buy their kits again.

Tandem Bike Conversion works well so far.
Because it has been a little cold, we have only taken it out for one short 3 mile ride. I weigh close to 220 lbs, and my wife is 130. With both of us on the bike, we could motor around with no pedaling at all. We only rode on flat surfaces, so I can't report on how it does on hills, or how much distance I get out of the 48V battery yet. The EBIKELING kit got us up to around 28mph, so that was impressive.Things to note:1.) I had to manufacture my own power cord from the controller to the battery. Unless you can put those 2 things close together, you will need to do the same. Even if you do get them close together, you will need to solder the power line from the controller to the power lines of the battery unit. Not a big deal, but something to note.2.) If you have V-Brakes, you will need to do some adjusting (you need to anyway if you install the provided motor cut off brake levers provided). The rim seems to be a little wider at the brake pads than my old rim...kind of tricky to get it all dialed in.3.)The speed readout is in Kilometers/hour. So unless you are Canadian and are comfortable with that, you have to do some quick estimations on how fast you are going. Wasn't a big issue for me, because I have a warning system sitting on the back seat (my wife) telling me "SLOW DOWN".So as of today I rate it 4 Stars, and will upgrade it to 5 Stars if it continues to perform like this (especially on hills).
