Leakage was not an issue in the first year of use. I have used it on many different idems. The gaskets wear out over time, which is a normal part of regular operation. I like the functionality and ease of use. Water cleanliness is noticeable. Good quality

Harder to install than it should be. As others stated, the threads are not quite right. With enough tape and a few tries, I was able to get it to not leak. To tighten it, you need a specialized tool to interlock with the nubs insde the union. I'm not sure what what the proper tool is called, but I made my own with a 13 mm socket and a grinder. A longer tail or flats for a wrench would have allowed for using common tools. Otherwise, the brass body seems to be nicely constructed. As for the functionality, it has trapped some chunks of sediment. It is easy to empty through the valve and included tube. I am looking forward to cleaning aerators less frequently. A built in holder for the bowl's wrench would have been nice. For now it is tied to the pipe with some string so it doesn't go missing.

Easy to install. Added as a pre main filter pressure relief when changing the larger 20x4.5 in-line filters. The fact that it provides another filter of 50 micron is a plus for me. Only thing I didn’t like was the wall mount seemed a bit flimsy but it doesn’t effect the filtering aspect so not a big deal. Would buy again.

I was hopeful when I unpacked these as they appear solid and well-made. I was installing two of these in-line to my new washer (one for hot/one for cold) because water is drawn from a lake and sometimes has particles and sediment. The nightmare began once I started connecting everything. First of all, you cannot attached these to washer hoses, because those use a garden-hose thread pattern, rather than a pipe thread which these are supposed to use. I tried multiple adapters including trying to attach to the 1 inch NPT male thread, and the 3/4 NPT male thread (which is provided via an enclosed reducer). Nothing in the hardware store with those same size NPT style threads would attach to this water filter, the threads were slightly different. Then I tried using the female 3/4 NPT thread on the filter, and I tried screwing both plastic and brass 3/4-inch NPT to 3/4-inch MGT (garden hose) adapters into it. They fit so loosely in this water filter that water was leaking everywhere. I wrapped them at least 10 times with the teflon tape, but still serious leaks. Finally I filled the adapter male threads with teflon, by twisting it up like dental floss and laying it down in between the threads, then I wrapped teflon around the threads at least 10 times, then I coated the threads with a thick coat of pipe thread sealant (pipe dope) before screwing the 3/4 inch adapter into the female threads on each end of the filter (one adapter on each side to connect washer hoses). Finally! No leaks. Four trips to the hardware store to make these work. And I don't have a great feeling about the longevity of the connections. I recommend you purchase filters elsewhere. UPDATE: The seller contacted me and offered a refund of my purchase, which I accepted. Though I would not buy this particular item again, I think the seller acted very responsibly and I would purchase from this seller again.

EXCELLENT product--should be used with ever "tankless water heater" install. It's light weight, aesthetic, easy to install and easy to operate. It come with all the parts to do either male or female 3/4" connections, which made it a cinch to install.
