The horn is just OK. Second valve sticks pretty regularly and unfortunately the support email "[email protected]" does not respond. It's not bad, but if the valves stick, it's really not worth the hassle of going plastic to save money.

For $100 bucks, Good
I read the reviews thoroughly before purchasing this horn. I have played for 40 years. I wanted something I didn’t need to worry about that I could practice scales on and take with me on a trip and not worry about it. it’s nice that they give you two different size mouthpieces.I have an absolutely beautiful horn that I keep close to home and for gigs. But there have been many times I wished I had something less valuable I could keep in the car so when I had the feeling I could pop it out wherever I was and noodle and practice. They call it a pro horn, but it’s not really. It would be great for a young trumpet player before you invest in a good instrument and before they know whether or not they are going to keep playing past middle school or even high school. It would also be a good marching band instrument for people who live where it’s cold outside. A brass trumpet in a marching band in Minnesota would cause you lots of problems and it wouldn’t be good for the instrument. But you could break this one out in Antarctica and it would be just fine… And with the plastic mouthpiece you wouldn’t freeze your mouth to the instrument. I do bring my good mouthpiece with me because I can keep that in my pocket. It’s worth three times as much as this trumpet, but really good tone.It does fog up with hot moist air, so I’m glad I got the black version, which I recommend to you. The action on the valves is surprisingly good. Very smooth. Someone commented on the shape of the bell which is different than most trumpets and gives you a mellower tone, but I like that.Someone also complained about the gig bag, but it’s actually pretty standard for trumpet players who travel a lot.The plastic material is surprisingly tough and the tuning valves are easy to use. You may need to take them out and reposition them when you first get your trumpet to make sure they are in the right place. It’s a feel thing getting them to click in the right place and a beginning trumpet player might not know what to do.I’m giving this four stars because I think it is good value for what you get. Trying to compare this to a $2000 trumpet doesn’t make sense. It’s like trying to compare a fancy restaurant to a good burger place.if you are a beginner this might be a good place to start and once you can play scales and achieve good tone, you might want to go to a music store and see what it feels like to play a metal trumpet and see if you’re ready for an upgrade, but even after that I don’t think you would give this one up. It’s pretty cool. And I will tell you this, if they had more colors I might get a collection. Blue would be nice. Also, a deep red.

Cool toy but mine has a horrible sound
Mine sounds like it has a leak in it or like the valves are blocking air. Sounds really bad. I really wanted it to sound half decent and I would’ve been happy but the fact that it sounds like that I’m pretty disappointed. I have it two stars because it looks cool and it was only 100bucks. Sadly I’m probably not going to use it because of the sound quality. Doesn’t sound anything like the video of the guy playing it. I’ve been playing trumpet for 26 years and can pretty much make any horn sound decent but this is beyond me. Really wanted to give a good review.
