3M Scotch-Weld Epoxy Adhesive DP2216, Gray, 43 mL Duo-Pak

I research on internet about glue for carbon fiber bike frame. And I found out that the epoxy material glue is the best. So I tried this 3M DP2216 43ml. Because the bolt screw nuts inside the carbon frame was came off after I tried to screw little hard. And carbon around the bolt screw nuts was little crumbled. So I need some kind of glue, also working like a mold inside the carbon frame to fix tight and hold bolt screw nuts. As instruction, it takes 24hours to dry, and also need one week to fix completely. It works great!! I didn’t buy dispenser, because the price is too expensive for such a small glue tube. And I use only few drop for small part of hole So I use some screw driver to push the back side of glue. It’s also work fine. Before I didn’t know about such a glue, I was asking to some bike repair men, and every guy said it’s very difficult to fix, and also they don’t carry special material for carbon. Even some guy told that need to buy new carbon bike frame!! This glue save my bike!! And cost of repair!!

I used this to repair an Aileron hangar on an airplane. I was very impressed with its bond-ability for various materials. It came in a connected two tube package a lot like other store bought epoxies but it requires a special 3M holder to evenly dispense the product. The 3M holder cost more than the epoxy. I ended up using a round piece of dowel with a mark on it to push the product out evenly onto a clean surface for mixing. It has to be mixed before application anyways so it was not a big deal. I've used this stuff on several other applications and its worked great. Bonds well and remains flexible.

Works great! Patched a hole in a watercraft. We use the stuff all the time at work & it’s great.

Working good so far

Though it was 3M Epoxy 2216, it is not as shown. Rather then cans, as shown, it was in a nylon plunger dispenser.

this is not EC 2216The listing clearly states EC 2216 and I received DP 2216. This is not the same thing .. Other reviews stated this and I made the mistake of not listening...

The description and photo clearly show EC-2216.Instead I received DP-2216 the cheap non aircraft rated stuff.Still worked but not as advertised. False descrition should be corrected.
