Reliance Portable Generator Power Transfer Kit-model#3006hdk

This was my first time installing a manual transfer switch. There were some good YouTube videos with step-by-step instructions, making it relatively easy. If your panel is in your basement, make sure you have a hammer drill (or know someone who does!) to drill through your home exterior. Otherwise, the only things I missed to pass inspection (per my electrician friend) were that all the wires to the master panel must be outside of the 4 perimeter pegs, the conduit & conduit connector to the switch and the outlet must be water tight, and the conduit needs to be affixed to wall with a bracket when it's longer than 12in (perhaps that's just our picky local inspector, make sure to consult your applicable electrical Code).

This is the second kit that I installed, since I moved I needed another one, these work great and are ready with all the pieces you need to connect to your main panel

This is a very well built piece of electrical equipment and the company who makes it has a great reputation for solid products.Since I am not a licensed electrician, but have done much with electrical, I hung both pieces on my concrete block garage wall next to the main breaker box.Then, I hired a licensed contractor to finish the final connection to the main breaker box.

Fast Delivery and Decent price. Could have done better at labeling wires.

Had Professional and Licensed Electrician Install this Transfer switch....After Installation the electrician tested with Back-Up Generator and the unit worked flawlessly...
