Great Toy for 7-year-old
I recently got the Tonka RC Mighty Monster Dump Truck for my 7-year-old, and it's been a fun addition to our playtime routine. Good quality RC for a younger child
The Tonka RC Mighty Monster Dump and Plow Truck is of Tonka quality. Made well for small hands. The remote has limited functions and big buttons for the littles fingers. The adults enjoyed it too! The bed is controlled by the remote and the front plow can be moved manually, The bed is big enough to haul small loads and makes for lots of fun.

Affordable toy that my nephew really liked
Getting an RC car from a name brand was a no brainer. It keeps my nephew entertained so I got my money's worth. It is fairly large which is pretty cool. I wish the scoop in front was remote controllable but that's a minor gripe.

About 15% “steel”
This is a pretty cool toy for youngsters and worth buying at a certain price point. Note however that ONLY the hopper is sheetmetal -“steel” being a stretch. The chassis is plastic and the wheels hard foam. Everything works well, and stands up fairly well to a precocious 2yo boy; but this is not the Tonka Toy of our youth.The wireless connection works well, controlling the toys movement and hopper body. The front scoop is strictly manual. The rechargeable battery in the body is nice. Adding some DYI lights by a clever (grand) parent would be a super modification. Blinking of course.I got it from Amazon when offered at $18; IMO the max price point is about $30, though YMMV.

A toddler boy's dream
I bought this on a whim for my 3 year old. He's obsessed. It's bigger than I expected and a little loud, but very easy for him to use.I will say that the remote is not as high quality as I expected but it looks like a game controller and does it's job.The truck has survived multiple collisions at full speed into my furniture and walls. The battery lasts a couple hours of constant play and does require being removed from the truck and plugged into a special adaptor (comes with the truck). Removing the batter does require a screwdriver so not the most user friendly but all in all a great purchase for my kiddo.
