WOLVERINEMen's Dd Work Wellington Shoe

Wolverine Has Earned A New Customer!
After being a loyal customer for Timberland boots for many years, after not finding their new products meeting their old quality standards, I went looking for alternatives. I came across these Wolverines on Amazon. While the leather is imported, this particular boot is made in the U.S. The soles are sewn on, not just glued. The rubber tread gives good traction and is comfortable to walk around in or work in. I normally get standard cowhide leather boots but took a chance with these in Nubuck. These boots fit like they were made for me. I normally buy shoes and boots in 10 1/2 wide or 11 wide depending on the brand. These are regular size 11 and they fit just fine. I used silicone spray to waterproof the boots because we have a lot of rain and humidity in the area I live in. The boots I purchased arrived in perfect condition and does not have any issues of loose stitching or material defects. It was really nice to put on a new pair of boots that fit so well that I knew I would not have to work to break these in. They were ready to go out of the box. When I do wear the soles of these boots out, at least I will have the option to take them in to get resoled. Hopefully you too will get a pair of these boots that fit like mine so you can enjoy the pleasure I had in trying them on for the first time. Made my feet happy and has made me a solid Wolverine fan.

GOOD BOOT, BUT TOO LARGE
I ware a size 10 or 10.5 medium with in street shoes, so ordered size 10. The boot was much too loose. I returned and ordered 9.5. It fits OK, but a 9 would be better. After accepting the 9.5 size I tested the boots in a local store and realize I should have done this before ordering. The boot is tight to put on, but this holds the foot in place even though the foot moves in the box. As many other reviewers have reported the boots run larger than standard street shoes, running shoes or my cowboy boots. Other than this, the boot is great.

Like the Wolverine Raiders I bought before this pair
Like the Wolverine Raiders I bought before this pair: The actual boot size was great. Getting your foot through the boot neck where it meets the actual boot; forget it. Again, the boot itself is awesome, but definitely the leather is cut far too shallow to get a size 12 foot into the boot (it's like the chinese finger trap; can't get your foot through, can't get it out). Comparing it to my other Wolverines, the leather is definitely cut too small (about a size 10 foot to get through the 12 boot neck).

Extra wide? Meh.
The so called "extra wide" isnt particularly wide, so I am back to using a 13 when a 12 fits me for length. On the up side, they are an unlined leather boot that will stretch and conform to my feet with regular sloppy farm yard use. My last pair, as an experiment, I soaked a 12, wore them wet till they stretched, and then oiled them up. The good: they didnt slip while I walk, but they were a bit snug. I'm trying the 13 now and hoping they dont have too much heel slip. At least there is no liner to wear out from heel slip, rendering the boots inoperable before the leather is wore out. So far these have been the best option I have found for farm work, not good for snow plowing! Your feet will freeze solid, no surprise.

Inproper sizing
I normally wear a size 11.5, I ordered a 11.5 but it is too large. The sizing on these boots run large. You need to order a size smaller. Unfortunately, I only wore the boots a couple of times before I decided to return them but they won't take them back. They look brand new. I have always been a Wolverine customer but I don't think I will buy any more since they won't take these back. The last pair didn't last too long anyway. Another brand may be better.

Love them
3rd pair I have got for my husband, they hold up through work and riding. I Just got him a new pair less then 3 weeks ago, he had an accident working on rebuild of old snow blower his foot got caught... these boots saved his toes .. broke the toe part of the boot and ate through the leather... if he had something else on he would have no toes... so I am getting his 4 pair...š

Great Fit and Comfortable
These boots are definitely a great buy if you're looking for comfort, style, and pricing. These boots actually fit 1/2 size too big, so order them 1/2 size smaller than your size. It's always best to try on shoes at your local shoe store before ordering. They are a comfortable toe and heel fit. The medium width is most likely the normal shoe width your looking for unless you have wide feet. Wolverine Boots are a quality made shoe. I highly recommend these boots. My local shoe store sold these same boots for $146.00. The Holiday sale price was $109.00. Amazon's regular price was only $92.00. So this was a no brainer, Amazon has the best prices. Always shop Amazon last after shopping for your favorite items. You will see the difference. If you become a Prime member, your shipping will always be free.

Comfortable but can barely get the shoes on/off because of narrow tops
I have been wearing Wolverine Wellingtonās for about 25 years. They are some of the more comfortable boots to have your feet in all day. I am giving these a 2 because I can barely get my heel into the boot because the top is too narrow. It sure would be nice if they had a V groove in the front. I planning to have a shoe repair person put a V groove in for me as I canāt seem to find many work boots that still have the V groove.Wolverine seems to discontinue a boot every few years. Before these Wellingtonās I had purchased Ingramās for a few years. But I canāt find my size anywhere.
