High quality clamshell style case (updated review)
Updated 6/15/2018:Yekbee contacted me shortly after my purchase and offered to send me an updated version of the keyboard to test, and of course I accepted. The updated version is a fixed clamshell "mini laptop" design with a greatly improved keyboard. This new version is not intended to be used as a tablet, so I am reviewing it solely as a mini laptop design as that intent should be obvious to anyone looking at the keyboard and case. The updated keyboard feels like the keys have better spacing, though physically it appears to be the same size. Touch typing on it is easier than the old version, but most importantly the arrow keys have been move down so that the up arrow no longer shares space with the right shift key. This one simple change has removed 90-95% of my typing errors while using the keyboard, and the remaining errors that I make are mostly due to my large hands not really fitting an iPad-sized keyboard properly (which is not a fault of the product). There is no longer an assembly/disassembly issue (or magnets) as the new keyboard turns your iPad into a hinged mini laptop. Since a hinged mini laptop is clearly not intended to be used in tablet mode, I also no longer consider that an issue for this product, but it is something to be aware of if you're considering a purchase. To summarize the update, Yekbee has made major design improvements along with a shift to a dedicated mini laptop style keyboard, and the new product is a huge improvement over the old one for those looking for a mini laptop style keyboard. Since I was looking for a mini laptop, the new product gets 5 stars from me.Original review:In many ways this is a great product, but there are niggling usability issues that prevent it from getting a better rating. The good:* The keyboard has very good feel for a portable. I find it better than the A1843 wireless Apple "Magic Keyboard", for example.* The overall quality of workmanship is excellent and the materials have a high quality feel to them.* The magnets used to attach the keyboard are plenty strong to hold the keyboard in place when combined with the texture of the materials.* The keyboard backlighting is both subtle and bright enough to be visible. The bad:* You have to re-assemble/disassemble the keyboard setup every time you open or close the case. The keyboard must be moved once the case flaps have been opened so that the iPad can then be folded into place as the "laptop" screen. The keyboard must then be moved back into "storage" position into order to fold everything back up into closed/carrying mode.* There's no good way to use the case in tablet mode - it simply isn't designed to be used that way because the keyboard is exposed (and constantly activated) by whatever hand you're using to hold the iPad while in tablet mode.* The keyboard is small and fairly cramped for my hands, though admittedly my hands are large. Someone with small hands likely wouldn't have any problem using the keyboard, though if you have normal-sized hands you might want to try it before you buy it. I basically have to switch to 2-finger typing to use this keyboard when I'm normally a high wpm touch typist. That's still better (for me) than trying to type on the iPad screen itself, though, so I'm happy to have the keyboard.* The right Shift key is split in half to make room for Pg Up and the up arrow key, but that means I constantly hit Pg Up when I meant to hit right Shift when I'm attempting to touch type.Summary:If what you really want is a tiny laptop, then this case and keyboard will work very well for you (other than the assembling/disassembling issue). It is high quality and sturdy, has a professional look, and has a good feel to the keyboard. But if you need a dual-mode tablet/laptop case then I recommend looking elsewhere, as the tablet functionality of this case is minimal at best.

Worth the money and more
I normally don't write reviews, but I was really impressed by this product. I had this product for 3 years. It had every aspect I was looking for in a keyboard and flip folio case protector for my iPad. Overall a great buy and well worth it. I promise you'll love it.Lets start with the keyboard. It comes with a see through cover. It connects to the case by magnet and is easily attaches and detaches. Its strong and won't fall off over time. The keyboard is user friendly with its colors and functions. The battery on it is extraordinary. I have left the keyboard on for 2-3 days once and it was still holding power. When it does need to be charged it doesn't not take long before it is back to full power. Honestly, I can not tell you how long it takes because its never ran out on me before (gone weeks without charging it).The case its self is really nice and has a good fine leather feel to it. It has a real business office look to it that will have you looking like a professional when your using it. It snugs and holds the iPad securely and stays that way over time. Its light and not too bulky when the iPad and the keyboard are together it fits perfectly in one hand. Without the keyboard it looks even better because its even slimmer looking (personal opinion). The case has 3 groves in it so when there is no keyboard the iPad can sit up at different angles when watching a movie and a piece can flip over to stop the iPad from slipping if you feel the groves are not enough. My 3 & 4 yr. old kids and myself have dropped this case numerous of times and even-though it is MISSING 3 of its 4 corners it still holds the iPad securely that it won't fall.If I had to say anything bad about this case is that it does not take drops well. First drop was shoulder high (I'm 5'6) on cement on one of the edges. The edge piece broke and lightly dented my iPad.

Bought For Apple iPad Air A1474
The case arrived on schedule and was as described by the seller. This was a gift for my teen so, I snapped the iPad in place, synched the keyboard to it, verified that everything functioned as expected and turned it over to her. Everything worked fine for about three days, then the keyboard stopped working. I.e., it would not turn on, no lights were displayed when turning it on or attempting to charge it, and (of course) it would not synch to the iPad.I contacted the seller and asked if I could send back the keyboard or would I need to exchange both it and the case. Their response was very prompt and courteous and they quickly shipped us a new case/keyboard at no cost. I am taking one star off for the keyboard but I was very impressed with the seller,As mentioned before, the iPad snaps in place in a plastic holder that seems stable and pretty durable. The keyboard is very flat and sits on the rest of the case which is magnetic. This is very good design element as it allows you to place the keyboard according to your comfort and prevents it from falling out if you pick the whole thing up without closing it first. The package also included a soft-gel key protector skin which was nice but, due to the low profile of the keys, we could not get it to remain in place and just don't use it.We have had our replacement for only a few days and everything is functioning as expected. If anything changes, I will try to update this review in the future.Below are my daughters' thoughts:- she liked the feel of the keys when typing and also liked the size of the keyboard which allowed her to type comfortably.- she liked the magnetic inside of the case since it not only held the keyboard in place but also held onto a metal ink pen or two.- she did not care for the keyboard protector- we originally bought a gold colored case (which she preferred) and the replacement was blue. The texture of both was comfortable in her handsOverall, she is pleased.
