Etekcity Upgraded Queen Air Mattress
There seem to be an on ending supply of manufacturers of air mattresses because my wife and I spent hours going through all the details and features offered in the air mattresses by these manufacturers.Without exaggeration, it was at least an hour and a half before we brought the list down to roughly 7 or 8 possible choices. As many different manufacturers as there are, the mattresses they offer I’m not very different from each other. Yet the prices vary anywhere from $50-$300 or more.We had to bring our search down to 3 particular specifications that wanted in the mattress:-Inflated height of the mattress-Thickness of the PVC material (particularly on the bottom)-Internal Baffling system, (controls air distribution under various weight and pressure points)Of course, the price would certainly come into play, but only after we filtered down the mattresses that met those 3 points. We decided to eliminate any of them that did not include those 3 specifications. After applying our determination and tenacity to the search, it was the “Etekcity Upgraded Queen Air Mattress”, which came out at the top. The Etekcity mattress satisfied all our concerns and had the best specifications among those manufacturers who did list those specs in their ads.Etekcity’s specifications:-Inflated height of the mattress: 22 inches-Thickness of the PVC material (particularly on the bottom): .4 mm-Internal Baffling system: well thought out, complex baffling system designed to minimize the “shifting of air”, and noise generated by someone moving. In addition to those 3 points, the air pump function and design made it very easy to operate. If you decide to increase or decrease the pressure in the middle of the night while half-asleep, I can guarantee you won’t have any trouble.-The length of the power cord is 63 inches.-The mattress has a nice soft-top surface, which provides the same function as a mattress cover and helps to keep the sheets from slipping off the bed.-Even though the inflation time was not a very big concern to us, it may be for others. Etekcity advertises that it takes 5 minutes to inflate their mattress but we reached a very firm inflation level in only 3 minutes and 45 seconds. (I just happened to look at the clock the same moment my wife began the pump).-Queen-size corner and top sheets fit perfectly on the Etekcity Upgraded Queen Air Mattress but my wife decided to use a king-size bed corner sheet, that she could then tuck the excess between the floor and the mattress. She felt this would help keep the sheets in place if she started tossing and turning too much. Frankly, I don’t see a need for this, because the Queen Size corner sheets fit fine but then, that’s the way she wanted it, so...All these air mattresses are meant to be a supplement for instances of expected (or unexpected), company, and events. However, certain medications my wife has been recently prescribed, causes her to toss and turn more than usual. Therefore, we’ve been using the mattress every night ever since we bought it, even though it really isn’t designed for everyday use.I offered to move to the air mattress on those nights where she’s feeling restless, but she insisted she would, because she liked the air mattress better than our $4000 “pillow top” mattress! (Well, it is over 10 years old). You will find that the complaint of air mattresses losing air is among the top 3 complaints in every review of every air mattress by every manufacturer on Amazon.Air molecules expand and contract with changes in temperature and just that factor alone could explain much of the loss in air pressure over a 24-hour period. This should tell you something about what not to expect from any consumer-grade air mattress you may buy. It should also tell you something about the physics and economical practicality of creating “perfect”, airtight seals. It’s important to point out that all consumer grade air mattresses will leak air. As a retired machinist, I can say that the materials and precision machining techniques (time) required to create a high-performance, airtight, pump and valve assembly would make the cost of an air mattress much higher than anyone would be willing to pay.A precision pump and valve system of that kind would be wasted unless it’s installed in a comparable, high quality, airtight material. So you can see just how quickly the cost would increase and make incorporating such a design economically impractical.Regardless of the manufacturer, I see many reviews complaining about how they have to refill their air mattress every night. The loss of some air over a 24-hour period could be attributed to the ambient temperature where the mattress is located, the heat generated by the internal air pump as it inflates the mattress, humidity, etc. etc. This is something that I think everyone should be expecting and frankly, with the built-in air pump and the simple twist of the inflate/deflate dial, I really don’t see it as an inconvenience worth mentioning. This is exactly what my wife does every night just before she goes to bed. She simply twists the dial to “inflate”, and 30 seconds later, she twits the dial back to “off”.We found the Etekcity air mattress to be very comfortable and convenient, and the cost was less than the ‘average air mattress market price’. We rate this Etekcity Upgraded Queen Air Mattress at 5-Stars, for performance, quality, and price! We strongly recommend it for anyone needing a very fast and easy solution for those times when you have to make an unexpected accommodation.Rich

Worked once; won’t stay inflated any longer
So disappointed in this product. This was my first ever air mattress, so I was excited to not have to sleep on the floor or couch anymore when traveling or visiting friends. The first time I used this mattress it was great. It was sturdy and firm - almost too firm. I must have jinxed myself because ever since that first night it’s never been the same. The second and third time were decent, but I noticed it was beginning to lose significant amounts of air at night. Cut now to 6 months later, and not having used the mattress for months, it’s a throw away. It will no longer stay inflated, and about 5-10 minutes after filling all the way up, you can feel it’s squishy and losing air. Very disappointed. I saw many reviews stating this, but I was hoping I’d be one of those who’d had a positive experience. Unfortunately not. Will now be on the hunt again for a mattress that lasts more than one use!

I thought an air mattress would be work best instead of buying a real solid mattress
The media could not be loaded. I got my Etekcity Upgraded Air Mattress Blow Up Elevated Raised Bed Inflatable Airbed for my self. I have been living far away from my home and living other cities for a job.First I started moving, I thought an air mattress would be work best instead of buying a real solid mattress.so I have been using air bed quite a bit and have a few different models. I had felt like I could not sleep well with my last air mattress before this, see pictures below. the top one of this, I wanted to try Etekcity Upgraded Air Mattress because I wanted to sleep on like a real bed and it was easy to carry wherever I go.Etekcity Upgraded Air Mattress Blow Up Elevated Raised Bed Inflatable Airbed with Built-in Electric Pump arrived well in study box. the air mattress box weights are 23.15lb, so careful when you lift it.The dimension before inflate is 17.4 x 13.5 x 8.3 inches. the mattress blow up fast! it took 4-5 min to fully inflated. it is really easy to inflate, first, plug in, and flip the dial to inflate. that is it!!!. it automatically starts inflating.A clockwise turn inflates the mattress and a counterclockwise turn deflates the mattress. as you hear the motor sounds from the video I attached, yes, it still makes moderate sounds when inflating and deflating, the motor is not too loud.I love how it inflates the airbed in minutes with the built-in air pump, and store the power cord in the compartment for safety.I have not used Boston valve yet, but seller says that " Boston valve also available for an external pump to be connected to the airbed"The mattress inflates to 80 x 60 x 22 inches (203 x 152 x 56 cm), so just like your regular bed's height and width if you use a bed frame, box frame and mattress of your bed.I use the queen sheet on top( it perfectly fit well), and sleep like I sleep on a nice real mattress. While sleeping on the mattress it remained really firm through the night. The max weight is 650 pounds. so this is for your self alone and your friends or spouse together.I have not noticed that the air seems to loose but if it happens to you follow the sellers' instruction."It's best to allow the mattress to "rest" in its inflated slate for 8-12 hours after inflating it the first time. Seams take time to buffer. It's normal that the mattress may lose a little bit of air after you fully inflate it; that's the nature of airbeds designed to be properly flexible and elastic. If you're using the mattress for more than 2 nights in a row, it is recommended that you supplement the mattress with 10-15 seconds of air. "water proof top keep the surface dry and clean. you just wipe down with a cloth if you spill something on it.I have had problems when I packed the unused air mattress to the bag which comes with, because I had never get it packed as flat as the first time it came in or the bag was not big enough, so I just store the mattress self in the garage. But not this one. the deflating sucks all the air out until it is flattened and after that, you smash the rest air out while folding the air mattress. if you so, the mattress goes into the bag and you can carry it wherever you go.you will feel like you sleeping on a real bed.

Updated review. Initial problems but overall good product.
I purchased this mattress at the end of June. After using it for guests on 2 different occasions, I was extremely disappointed when it wouldn't hold air when I prepared it for guests to use for the weekend. It didn't last 3 months!! Only used for a total of 5 nights. Unbelievable! I would not recommend this product! I had to run out to Target and pick up a Coleman air mattress for my guests to use.Update: Customer support contacted me and sent me a replacement a week later! So far, the replacement has been fantastic. I have updated my review to 4 stars for the comfort and ease of use of this product. Would have been 5 if not for the initial product failure. Great customer service!
