Great second book in this series
This the second book in the Night Tracker series, was full of action, romance, and frightening situations filled with cruelty and torture.I really enjoyed the plot for this book and how we are learning more about the paranorms with ever passing novel. Nyx is still the main focus of this book and I was fine with that I like her characters no nonsense attitude and kick ass solutions to her problems. We find out in this book if she is able to fix how her relationship with Adam ended in the first book. We are privy to more information about Nyx's abilities, and we learn about some of the other trackers abilities as well. This story was a little hard to swallow at times only because it's about werewolves who are being abducted and some of the abducted were's are children. Reading about anything horrible happening to children difficult and I usually try to steer clear of stories where children are abused. Besides the children being involved it was a great story. Fast paced action, steamy romance, and a lot of awesome fight scenes. I think anyone who likes paranormal romance would get sucked into this story and not give up until it was done. If you haven't read any of this author's books I highly recommend you check her out.

Promising but not great
I did not read the first book in the series. There is a lot of back story here and the world is pretty much as expected. The plot is OK as are the characters, but frankly the title is the best part of the book. There are some annoying errors but not many.Overall this is about par for the Genre or a bit better. (Although the secret government installation and Mad Scientist are a bit trite.)Overall a decent entertaining read but noting really special. Could develop into an interesting series.

No Werewolves Allowed-A Joyfully Recommended Title
As a member of the Night Trackers, Nyx Ciar puts her life on the line every night during her duty. By day, Nyx and her partner Olivia run a P.I. agency and pick and choose what cases they take on. Having dual roles is nothing new for Nyx, who as a half Drow and half human, and as dusk falls, she changes into a Dark Elf. A new case just came her way that will combine both her roles. Werewolves are being taken and then turn up after being tortured. Something strange is seriously up if Weres can't track what's going on.Nyx prefers to work alone but accepts the team that is assigned to her, as there is little to go on. Danger to Nyx and the team is immediate as they set up at the Were's camp. Watching Nyx's back, along with the team, is Detective Adam Boyd - her lover and one savvy cop. It gets personal when Nyx gets a little too close to the answers. When the final battle happens, it's going to take a combined effort to stop the madman who thinks the only good paranormal is a dead one and you don't want to know his opinion of humans who work with them. When you're used to being the strong one, it's nice to have a loved one strong enough to watch your back. No Werewolves Allowed tells of Nyx's next huge battle as a Night Tracker. Nyx takes her responsibilities to heart - be that in her day or night vocations. I loved that Adam and Nyx made up prior to her leaving for her next assignment. What I loved even more is that Adam, while fully human, doesn't see a difference in Nyx no matter what she looks like. Of course there was sever fighting, chaos and general mayhem - I wouldn't expect anything less in a Night Tracker book. I truly enjoy when a strong female character doesn't have to dumb down for her man - something I never face in one of Chey's books. The struggles and danger that surrounds Nyx just brings her closer to Adam as he accepts what she does, and of course, does whatever he can to help her. No Werewolves Allowed is fast paced with danger and passion that makes it impossible to put down.Nyx and Adam just keep getting better and better, which when combined with her job as a Night Tracker makes No Werewolves Allowed a Joyfully Recommended book in my opinion. I can't wait to see what happens next with them.JoReviewed for Joyfully Reviewed

No Werewolves Allowed
I don't know what it is about this series that clicks with me. On the surface it's a typical tough chick solving crimes and hunting down bad guys. The main character has an attitude, kicks butt, and looks good. That isn't enough for me. If it was, every urban fantasy out there would get four stars. It's not necessarily the characters either, because the banter between the main character, Nyx, and her friend Olivia is a bit annoying, and Nyx isn't that multidimensional. That leaves the plot. We are introduced to the killers in the beginning of No Werewolves Allowed, so there isn't much mystery there, yet I was interested in every step of the investigation. All in all not much happens in this book, some Trackers go try to figure out who is killing werewolves and they figure it out. I wish I could pinpoint exactly why I like this series, but it's hard to describe. The action sequences are not overly long and boring. The paranormal beings are interesting and well described, and Nyx's abilities are unique and exciting. Another plus, no love triangle! Hopefully, there is some character development in future installments, as No Werewolves Allowed is entirely plot centered. I can't wait to read the next book, and other books by this author, but others may not be as blown away by this book as I was.
