FOREDOM Micromotor Kit, Brushless, 3/32" & 1/8", 115V Us (K.1040) Review: $800 only buys you 4 months. - Wonderful. Review: YES - It performs as promised. Outstanding. I build 5S pegboard Tool Boards for industry; about 15 Hand Tools each. Every Tool gets engraved with a Work Center # and the name of the tool (to match its 5S location sticker) LOTS of engraving, not artisan level, but it must be legible. Engraving Chrome is a killer with vibrating & rotary Dremels. You have to bear down to get the tools to cut. Engraving any Tool with a curved surface is tricky, often resulting in illegible characters. With my Foredom at 35,000 rpm, I can just lay down the cutter tip gently and work it almost as lightly as a pen. Nearly all the characters I engrave are large and easy-to-read as a result. Recommended.

Broke after a few weeks use…
Couldn’t get a full refund. This is a shady company charging a restocking fee for a defective item….so they can restock and sell it?? No help and no integrity. No assistance from Amazon either. Charging me a 143.00 restocking fee for a motor I used one month!!!

Awesome microgrinder. Can't go wrong with Foredom.
I already had the big Foredom for the shop, then got into a carving class. Realized the need for this little guy for finer detail. Only complaint is the chuck is a bear to change. Went to the bigger size and use a sleeve/shim for the smaller bits. It has good power and very easy to work with. Compares to much more expensive carvers and keeps up with them.

Torque is more important than RPM'S
This isn't my first brushless micromotor. I burned the first one out (different brand) in less than three years. It's torque only allowed me to use small burrs on 3/32 in. shafts. The Foredom has the torque necessary to use 1/8 in shafts and larger burrs. Most burrs are rated at speeds much slower than the 50,000rpms, so one rarely runs it at top speed. So far, I'm quite happy with it.

Foredom products are best
I have the large version of Foredom & now supplemented with the micro motor. It completes my wood carving shop for power carving. A very handy addition.

Super nice
This machine is 100% top notch. Super solid build, lots of power. Fit and finish is as expected from the pros at foredom. If you want a tool that’ll perform and last, this is the one.
