Wanted Shoes Women's Babe Oxford Shoe

I love oxfords, and I have been searching for the perfect style in a variety of colors. When I happened upon this brand on another website, I immediately visited Amazon to get them sooner rather than later. I am not familiar with "WANTED", but I liked some of the comments in the reviews of persons who seemed satisfied, so I took a chance. They arrived today, and I had to quickly write a review. First of all, the shoes that I received did not have an unappealing smell. Like many of the other reviewers, I found the color and style of the shoe to be exactly what I was looking for. I also ordered a half size up (I bought an 8 but normally wear a 7.5). However, other than color and style, they are not worth $49.00-55.00. These are not leather; they are synthetic and because of the material utilized to make them, they will not last. These shoes also do not have any support and the sole is more like cardboard, so don't expect to have any traction. I put my feet in them, and there was no sense of relief. I cannot fathom walking/standing in these for most of the day without the cushion/support needed. For the price, these shoes should be made of leather. As it pertains to stretching, I don't foresee them providing extra room because of the material. I love good-looking comfortable shoes, and I am willing to pay for them. I have a pair of Born Kika oxfords that I paid about $5.00 more for, and there is a significant difference. So, if it is just a matter of color and style, then this is your shoe. If you want color, style, quality, and comfort, look for another brand of oxford and pay the extra 5 to 10 dollars. I have already sent in my request to return the shoe.

I have 3 pairs of these shoes (burgundy patent leather, rose gold, and orange/pink/white multi) because I love them so much. I'm generally a 9.5 and buy these in a 10, and they fit great. I get tons of compliments on them no matter which color I'm wearing! They don't have super supportive soles, but I live in NYC and walk a lot and unless I do more than 3-4 miles in a day they don't hurt my feet.

I love these shoes. I ordered the Tan after getting the Black & wearing it a few times. Yes it has a terrible smell, but AS FOR THE SMELL. A HOT RAG WITH VINEGAR AND PUTTING THEM OUTSIDE WILL TAKE CARE OF THAT

Yes, there is an odd smell out of the box... but it dissipates as quickly as you air them out. For being vegan, the black wingtips are GORGEOUS. Very close to resembling real leather, and TOUGH! I wear these shoes for a job that requires walking, climbing stairs, standing, pushing, lifting, you name it, the Wanted Oxford excels while you're doing it. The toes stand up against scuffs and scrapes like a champ, and the first day I wore them, they were comfy from start to finish. They just look, feel, and perform really, really great.I'm tempted to buy several pairs of these to keep in stock in case my first pair wears out, but I really don't foresee that happening soon!

I read the reviews before purchasing and decide to go a half size up, I would argue even then it's a bit tight. But that wasn't the main issue I found. At first, for the first couple days of casually wearing them I decided there was nothing wrong with them and all was perfect. But the third day for whatever reason the left shoe- and only the left shoe- started forming a crease line that bent over the top of my foot every time I stepped that ended up rubbing my skin raw (wearing socks, mind you). And it was a bit too narrow just for the left pink toe and that got raw too. Its just so strange how its only the left shoe that has this issue (they are both the same size I checked. All I know now is that I'm disappointed and I don't think I can return them now that I've worn them for 3 days. I will probably still wear them, but only in settings where I'm certain there won't be much walking ... but that isn't really a common scenario for me personally. I've already gotten lots of compliments though. Be warned!

Love this shoe! I own a pair that I purchased years ago, and decided to get another pair. I will buy more in different colors. I'm a true size 10 shoe. 167lbs. I have boney, regular or normal width feet - not quite narrow. The shoe does fit a bit snug at first try-on or first time wearing. Its not tight... Just know you have to wear the shoe to stretch it a bit to form to your foot. Once you do that.. it will be just right. Also I normally always wear this shoe with no socks. Or even a fishnet or regular pantyhose/knee high, thin fabric sock - whatever my outfit calls for. Usually They are comfortable to me. I can wear the shoe all day at work and even walking around the city.

We attended a Gatsby themed party and initially purchased these as part of our get up for the evening. Upon arrival, we tried on the shoes and found that they were quite tight around the sides of my foot, even though there was a good 1/2-1inch between my big toe and the tip of the shoe. In addition, when walking they would rub up against my heel which was painful. At this point, it was quite painful to wear even a short period of time because of the constant pressure and rubbing on the sides of my feet (by big and small toes) and heel. Because these shoes fit the look we were going for exactly, we decided to take a chance and attempt to stretch them with an adjustable shoe horn. After about a week of careful adjustments, I tried the shoes again with heavier socks and patches on the sides of my feet and heel. This seemed to do the trick and allowed for a more comfortable fit. We went to the party and had a grand time. The only thing is that afterwards my feet hurt terribly! We are not sure, though, if this is due to the shoes or from all of the swing dancing that we did. Maybe a combination of both. It is felt that perhaps the manufacturer should consider making a wider size to allow people like myself to truly enjoy their unique and quite well-designed, albeit tight, shoes.In addition to all of the above, like some prior reviewers indicated, these shoes had a strong chemical smell to them. We used apple cider vinegar, febreeze, and airing off outside to lessen this issue. While the smell has still not gone away completely, it receded enough that nobody near us would be able to smell our shoes. It would have been quite embarrassing if they had!

Liked the shoe but had to return as they are a VERY SMALL FIT. Beware if you have to return these because they don't fit, you don't get refunded the postage costs, so I lost over £7.50 ordering these!

Received these shoes in Australia at an acceptable interval. Box damaged in the posting process but shoes not damaged. Ordered womens Oxford babe in white Size 6. The shoes are just lovely but.. they are very stiff and very narrow in the fit. Even with a bit of ware, I don't think they would 'stretch up', so I am returning them. With cost of postage etc not game to try a half size bigger. Wish they were available in Australia!

I bought this item when it was considerably cheaper. The fit is way too tight, the material is not breathable (it's as hard as a rock), and it smells of cheap synthetic material.
