Knickerbocker "Engauge Bed Support System (Queen)

I was sceptical about this bed being able to hold what it said. But my husband is a larger man and I needed something sturdy for him. He is 6.2 and pushing 460 lbs. So I don't know if this would hold as much as it says but for my husband and myself it is perfect. Plus no noise during adult activities.

Love this frame. Heard about it initially from a local furniture store. It arrived literally 30 minutes before my new mattress did so I was worried I wouldn't be able to set it up in time. The worrying was pointless. It took about 2 minutes to connect everything by myself. The hardest part was carrying the pieces up two flights of stairs. The frame is on the heavy side.

I was pissed when this arrived. The box was tattered and torn and the bed was very dusty and just sorta shoved into the box. I almost returned it, but I really needed it. So, I cleaned it and put it together.Honestly, it's a great bed frame. Very sturdy. And it looks sturdy. Like, some bed frames look skimpy and frail, old-fashioned as if we haven't made bed frame improvements since the 1800s. This looks like a modern, well put-together, well-conceived frame.I'd buy it again.

I just received this via UPS. They did their share to bang up the box, but it seemed to be OK. The bed frame is another story. The side rails have headboard L-brackets riveted to them. One is loose and can only be corrected by replacing the side rail, or drilling out the rivets and replacing them with bolts. I don't plan to attach a headboard, so it won't be a problem, but it's a quality control issue that forces me to remove a star. Also, while I was aware that the legs appeared to be made of plastic, I was not aware that the receptacles, into which you plug the rails to assemble the frame, are also made of plastic. Heavy plastic, but this kind of plastic tends to become brittle and crack in a few years, so I don't expect this frame to last long. It's easy to assemble, but the frame is not that sturdy in my opinion, and the quality control is iffy. Not worth the money, not recommended.

Snapped together quick and easy. Sturdy strong and stable. The center bar lined up perfectly with my new wood foundations center support. The best way to avoid a saggy mattress. If you still have a saggy mattress problem you'll know it is not due to the frame! glides across my wood floor (without added pads) easily when changing sheets etc...

MY KNICKERBOCKER ENGAGE BED FRAME SURPASSED MY EXPECTATIONS !IF I COULD GIVE MORE THAN FIVE STARS I WOULD ! IT'S NOT ONLY VERY STURDY AND ATTRACTIVE , IT'S VERY EASY TO ASSEMBLE.THE HARDEST THING WAS GETTING IT OUT OF THE BOX BECAUSE OF THE WEIGHT .A PERSON WITH NORMAL MOBILITY WILL NOT HAVE A PROBLEM . I HAD A STROKE 2 YEARS AGO AND I NEED A KNEE REPLACEMENT . I GOT THE BED FRAME OUT OF THE BOX AND ASSEMBLE IT IN LESS THAN 20 MINUTES ! I LOVE IT !I KEEP RAISING MY BEDSKIRT TO SHOW IT OFF TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS ! LBVSYOU WILL HAVE NO REGRETS . KAREN A KING

For such a basic bed frame, this seems a little expensive, but it was worth it. Our old bed frame was pretty rickety, and a friend recommended this brand. Based on his recommendation and the reviews, I bought it. Assembling it is ridiculously easy, with everything just falling into place. It's solid, sturdy, and doesn't wiggle at all. It used to be that when my wife and I moved around in bed, it would shake the bed and disturb the other one of us. Now, the bed is solid and stable, and much easier to sleep in.

The easiest to assemble and most solid bed frame I've ever had. One of those "you get what you pay for" types of things I guess. When I recently got a heavier mattress, noticed it was sagging a bit from the old bed frame. This one is super solid, you literally just drop the pieces into place to assemble it, they slot into eachother, and its really solid, the metal is thicker than other bed frames, and the feet are large and numerous.
