GROHE 40914000 Blue Cleaning Cartridge

Followed the directions provided with the cannister. Installed the sprayer and soaked the cleaning cartridge adapter and the filter holder. Removed the spray nozzle, attached the can to the holder and set the unit to the clean cycle. Water was pushed forcefully out of the faucet head for maybe 1 minute, then nothing. The panel continued to show the unit was running the cleaning function, which was supposed to take 30 minutes. After 60 minutes the unit was still just sitting, panel still telling me it wasn't done and it couldn't be stopped. After 90 minutes I powered the unit off, waited several minutes and turned it back on. Unit continued to say it was in cleaning mode and couldn't be stopped. I tried twice more, with the same result. Searched the internet, as Grohe's User Manual contains much of nothing, and managed to find how to reset the unit. Removed the top of the unit and pushed the 3 reset buttons, nothing happened. After 2 more times of pushing the reset buttons the unit finally reset. I replaced the filter cartridge and as per the instructions, ran water through the unit for several minutes to rinse out the cleaning agent. The following morning the unit starting dispensing cloudy water, obviously over-aerated, and the entire unit now cavitates and overall is much louder than it was before. I e-mailed Grohe via their website over the weekend, it is currently Tuesday and I've heard nothing from them. Hoping this $100 experiment didn't destroy a $2,500 piece of equipment.

Once you start you can't stop. And there's no way of know ing if it worked or not. This bottle will get everywhere while you try to use it. Good luck!
