Curious George Around Town 6-Book Box Set: 6 Favorite 8x8s!

Such a cute book set for toddlers and preschoolers! We used them for my son's 3rd birthday "party favors" for the kids and everyone love them! My son loves all of them but his favorite "Dinosaur Discovery". The stories are simple, fun, and perfect for little Curious George fans. Great for bedtime reading and encouraging curiosity and imagination!

The whole Curious George series has been a favorite of my kids. From very early on, we started reading them to them, and the older they got, the more there was to learn and understand from the books and the pictures. Some reviewers have complained that these are not the original Curious George books or that the plot is very repetitive. While these are not the originals, my kids do not seem to mind, and I don't think they are "worse" than the originals, just slightly different if at all. The plot is repetitive but that is because George is always getting into trouble so you have the same pattern--he gets curious, he does something naughty, something bad happens, then something good comes out of the bad event, and then everyone is happy and George is usually a hero. This does not bother me in the least. My kids find his adventures interesting and never get bored with that "plot." To them, it is funny and what makes Curious George funny. Sure, if this was an adult book then the repetition might be problematic but thankfully it is not an adult book! The illustrations are nice and detailed and provide a lot of material for my kids to look at while I read the story to them. The quality of the pages is good and it's nice that there is sometimes stickers or a little activity in the back, though truthfully my kids have never cared for them much. I like that there are many of these books because my kids become familiar with George and the concept of series, and can distinguish one book in the series from another and even have favorites. I really don't think you can go wrong with these books. I don't know many other kids that don't like these. They are a good investment!

Great way to introduce the younger generation to curious George. The books are durable. The artwork is nice. Colors are vibrant, and the stories are cute.

My daughter is a huge Curious George fan. After checking out the same books from the library repeatedly, we decided it would be a good plan to just buy some for our own library at home. This box set was the perfect starting place. All the books in this set are super cute and probably the most requested books in my daughter's collection. I've since bought two additional sets. For her third birthday, she wanted a Curious George party so we bought two of these box sets and gave out the individual books as party favors. At less than $2 a book, they are just the right price for a favor and much better than a cheap piece of junk toy that will just break. All the parents loved having a book to take home and enjoyed selecting whichever book they thought their child might like. Whether you are a new Curious George fan, a seasoned fan looking to expand your collection, or selecting a gift for a little George fan, the price of this set can't be beat!

Our three year old son loves Curious George. After weeks of picking these books up at the library we decided to purchase them for our home. This volume set is an excellent deal! The variety is great, as the books range in topics from dogs to dinosaurs to chocolate factors to pancakes. If you can get the pack at a lower cost, the books average to under $2.00 a book. Despite being paperback, these books have held up incredibly well to our son's rough handling and our repeated readings. While the case they came in is nice, we ended up recycling it; the books are read too frequently to bother with storing them nicely, though this is a great option for some. Exceptional purchase! If you know a Curious George fan, this volume set is a definite win!

Perfect for party favors for a Curious George birthday party! I had to buy 2 packs

Love these books! My 6 y/o grandson is into Curious George & loves these books! Great little carry handle makes transporting them back and forth places a breeze. He is behind on his reading capabilities so I have to read them to him, but even if he was at age level it would still be difficult for him to know all the words; however, that being said it's always better to get them seeing and hearing higher level words earlier so they grasp more earlier. I'm working with him on his reading/site word disability and he is definitely remember some of the bigger words. 5 STARS

Die Texte sind für unser Kind (18M) noch zu lang (und Englisch...), aber wir lesen es als Bilderbuch vor und sie LIEBT George - also haben wir jetzt auch einen kleinen Stofftieraffen Coco (der deutsche Serienname). Schöne Bilder, für die Kinder nachvollziehbare, unterhaltsame Geschichten und dank der knallgelben Farbe sofort identifiziert.

6 books for this price was very reasonable. Stories are all engaging for my 2 yr old but I know they’ll age with him

this set is great. it comes in a handy child-size card outer box with a small carry handle which is great for toddlers/kids. there are 6 books in the case, and all are quick, easy to read stories about curious George in various places etc. I had already bought 3 of these books for my nephew, but was lucky that none of the prior purchases were among these. this is a great set for a gift, and the cute carry case-style box is a big plus.
