Solved all my WIFI issues. Ring Devices work perfectly NOW
Hi there, I thought i would write this review because it took me a lot of time and research to resolve my connection issues with my RING devices, and I have now finally fixed the issues. I have been having connectivity issues with my Ring devices for months now and decided I needed to take action on fixing this issue. I first factory reset my main ISP router and intelligent pods and set all back up (checking WIFI channels for congestion and pods for signal, there was no signal coming off the pods or Ring pro chime WIFI extender) still the exactly same issues. I then bought a mesh tp-link router with 4 antennas and a tp-link mesh WIFI extender with 2 antennas, so putting my main ISP router in to modem mode and connecting my new tp-link mesh router to the existing ISP router, the Ring devices was still struggling with WIFI connection, I live in a 3 bedroom house and set the equipment up perfectly, the speeds however was excellent in every part of my house after installing the new tp-link mesh router and tp-link mesh extender from average 80 mbps to 250 mbps in the worst signal areas of my property, but the RING devices was still struggling. I decided to bite the bullet and go with the tp-link WIFI 6 deco Mesh system and I have now fixed the connection issues with my RING devices, full signal bars on both RING devices and all other devices in the house and 250mbps in every room in the house, the MESH system was very easy to set up via the tp-link deco app, i did have a issue when I first set the MESH system up because the connectivity to the RING devices was set to auto from 2.4GHz to 5GHz and was connecting to 5GHz automatically and the RING devices work better on 2.4GHz so I went in to the RING devices on the Deco app and changed from auto to 2.4GHz and this solved the issue and now works perfect, the deco app is brilliant and you can customise your deco system like renaming your devices and you can see the signal strength of each device including the deco units, please donโt worry when you see your connected devices offline as the AI deco will connect automatically when needed to stop congestion. Please be aware when buying the deco systems and always go above what internet speed you have, so I have 250 mbps internet so I only required 300 mbps max capability deco system but went for the one up model to future proof if I ever needed more then 250mbps internet, itโs also worth getting WIFI 6 deco like mine for WIFI 6 devices. I am very happy with the tp-link WIFI 6 deco Mesh system, I know itโs not the cheapest option but in my case it was the only option and I am glad a bought it. I hope this review helps you solve your internet issues and saves you some precious time.

Powerful, reliable WiโFi that finally covers the whole house
Iโve tried a few WiโFi setups over the years โ from a single router to old extenders โ and struggled with rooms where the signal was weak or just didnโt reach. The TP-Link Deco X55 (3โpack) mesh WiFi system has, quite frankly, solved those problems โ itโs robust, fast, and has transformed internet coverage across my whole home. I first got the 3โpack because we have multiple devices โ phones, laptops, tablets, smartโhome gadgets โ and needed coverage across different floors and rooms. Setting it up was surprisingly simple, even for someone not particularly techโsavvy: plug in the main unit, use the Deco app to follow the prompts, and before I knew it the mesh network was live. The coverage is impressive โ rooms that previously had weak or patchy signal are now solid and stable. Whether upstairs, in the kitchen, or tucked away in a corner room, I get strong, consistent WiโFi. Even outdoors on the patio I noticed a usable signal, which has been great for music and streaming devices. Performance has been topโnotch. Streaming videos, video calls, gaming, working from home โ everything feels smooth, with minimal buffering or connection drops. The WiFi 6 boost makes a difference, especially when multiple devices are connected: thereโs no noticeable slowdown even during peak usage. I also like the extras: the three gigabit ports on each unit give flexibility if I want to connect wired devices, and the systemโs ability to handle up to ~150 devices gives plenty of breathing room for current and future gadgets. The builtโin HomeShield security gives extra peace of mind, which feels important with so many smart devices around. Overall, the TP-Link Deco X55 (3โpack) has been a real upgrade โ it turned our home network from a weak, patchy system into a stable, highโspeed mesh that covers the entire house. For anyone struggling with poor WiโFi range or juggling many devices at once, this mesh system is a strong recommendation.

Fast, Stable, Easy to connect, Easy to manage
Easy - peasy to install, works amazingly well and fast, very secure connection, excellent network coverage within my whole flat, strong signal literally everywhere. For those who writes bad reviews โ a small and free tip from IT expert, DO NOT Enable Fast Roaming if you donโt know what is it, okay? Do not touch โAdvancedโ section in โSecurityโ settings if you donโt know what are you doing. Once you Enable โFast Roamingโ - you canโt just turn it off and move on. Youโll net to RESET everything and start from the scratch to get Stable network. Because if you donโt - your TP Link will be Up and Down and youโll not have a clue Why, but this is because you turn on something you have no knowledge about. Youโre welcome.

Beast of a Wi-fi option
This mesh system (3 nodes) is by far the fastest and furthest reaching I have ever used. My wife and I work from home and it is rock solid all day. Simultaneously using Teams meetings etc. whilst the kids watch 4K Netflix or You Tube. Gaming has an extremely low latency as well. It is a beast of a Wi-fi option. Extremely easy setup, completed in minutes. Mine is directly attached to my ONT via a CAT 7 cable, on Vodafone home broadband. All you need is the Vodafone user and password and off you go. There is an odd quirk that annoys me though. Every now and then a node LED turns red for about 10 - 15 seconds. It doesn't appear to do anything to connections but it is very visible and distracting. Perhaps a later firmware option will address this.

Finally getting the speeds I pay for - Well worth the investment
Pros: - Dramatic improvement in speed test results and reliability. - Great coverage: my WiFi now feels fast and Iโm finally getting close to the advertised speeds I pay for. - The app lets you choose a preferred mesh for devices to connect to, shows signal strength to each device, and download/upload speeds in kbps. - Fairly easy to set up. It may take a while depending on how awkward your WiFi provider/router is, how much you want to test for optimal positions, and the time taken to familiarise yourself with the detail-heavy app and its settings. For some, it will be almost plug and play. - Lots of settings so you can make personalised choices. Thereโs a huge amount of functionality, right down to being able to turn the light off on the mesh. - Lovely, premium design. - Lots of Ethernet ports. Cons: - I wish there were clearer guidance during setup on testing for optimal placement, or even a mode to help find the best signal. I spent around an hour deciding whether to put the router in a room with important WiFi-heavy devices (showing a medium 2-bar signal strength) or in the hallway outside (showing a strong 3-bar signal but further away from those devices). For me, the stronger hallway position won. - The light colours can initially be confusing in terms of what they mean or indicate during setup. Worth noting: - If you try to name the new network the same SSID as your existing one during setup, it asks you to rename the mesh to something different, which feels counterintuitive if you want devices to switch over smoothly. It doesnโt explain that you can rename it back later after youโve turned 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz WiFi off on the original router. Overall: - Yes, itโs an expensive investment, but in my view itโs better than paying more every month for โfasterโ WiFi that you might never get the true benefit of once youโre a bit further away from the router.

It works!
Like many others, we've struggled with maintaining a strong and consistent wi-fi signal throughout the house. Our router (recently switched to Vodafone) is on the first floor, but the tv in our lounge is on the ground floor on the opposite side of the house. We're on 900mb but even with a good wi-fi extender the tv is typically only getting around 70mb and this frequently fluctuates meaning streaming often struggles to maintain a consistent picture quality/resolution, particularly on Amazon. Having done some research I ended up deciding to give these a go and have to say I've been very impressed. Set-up was quick and easy with the App (which explained step by step exactly what to do) and they worked with the Vodafone router out of the box without me needing to do anything to it. I've set up one connected directly to the router and two downstairs, one next to the tv and one in my wife's office. The tv is now getting a strong and stable signal and a consistent speed over 150mb, and my wife's office has gone from around 120mb to over 300. Overall we've been very happy with them and would recommend them to anyone looking for an easy way to boost their wi-fi speeds.

Sweet-spot between WiFi Mesh System 5 and 7
I've bought many TP-Link smart devices over the years and quality vs. price is always very good. Bought these mesh devices to replace a '5' System that was 5+ years old and starting to struggle with both load and device management. These three devices directly replaced the five older ones, were easy to set up and coverage is excellent (and much more stable). A '7' System would have been overkill - and more expensive - so I'd recommend considering this slightly older tech unless you want 'state of the art'. NB I am using this network for home office as well as regular domestic/family use.

Excellent Dead Spot Elimination
If you are looking to upgrade your home network, the TP-Link Deco X55 WiFi 6 Mesh System is a total game-changer. After struggling with inconsistent speeds and frustrating "dead zones," this system has completely transformed how I use the internet at home. Say Goodbye to Dead Spots: The standout feature of the Deco X55 is its ability to eliminate signal drops. Whether Iโm in the basement or the furthest corner of the upstairs bedroom, the connection remains rock-solid. Unlike traditional extenders that create separate networks and cut your speed in half, the X55 uses AI-Driven Mesh technology to create one seamless network. This means your devices automatically switch to the strongest node as you move around, without you ever noticing a transition. Blazing Speeds: With WiFi 6 technology, Iโm finally getting the speeds I actually pay for from my ISP, even on multiple devices simultaneously. Massive Capacity: It handles over 150 devices. Between smart home gadgets, gaming consoles, and work laptops, the network never feels congested. Wired Versatility: Each node has three Gigabit Ethernet ports, which is perfect for hardwiring a TV or PC for the most stable connection possible. Effortless Setup The "Deco" app makes installation incredibly simple. It walks you through the placement of each unit to ensure you get the best coverage. Within 15 minutes, my entire houseโup to 6,500 sq. ft. with the 3-packโwas blanketed in high-speed WiFi. Final Verdict: If you are tired of buffering and "WiFi dead zones," the TP-Link Deco X55 is one of the best investments you can make for your home. Itโs reliable, fast, and remarkably easy to manage.

Works well
I have not had any issues with this mesh since initial set up. The set up is easy to follow and straight forward. I did have a minor issue, but that was on my end and my service provider was able to give me the correct information needed to set up. It has been running now for about 4 months and we have had steady connection across all devices - computers, TVs, gaming systems, smart home and surveillance systems. The back room that was often a dead zone now gets a good strong signal. I like that I am able to hard wire certain devices into each unit if I want to. We currently have the main home computer connected to the second unit, and the Xbox and smart TV on the third unit. Not that any of these devices were experiencing any lag or connection issues on wifi. It also has the option to set specific devices to priority on wifi or to set a device to only connect to one unit rather than the mesh to maintain a steady connection on items that are stationary. The parental controls are also a great feature. You do need to pay to unlock everything, but the free features are enough for my needs. It allows to filter content, block websites, and set up screen limits. The only inconvenience on the free side is that you cant set multiple time limits for differentdays of the week. While I can set a bed time daily, if I want to give extra time on the weekend I do need to manually reset it every week. However, it is not a big deal with the app. Wifi to all devices you set to your child's profile will be turned off at the time you set, and not turn back on until a time you set. Bedtime routines have gotten smoother as they quickly learned there is no "just a minute". They now take note of the time and hurry to finish, save their progress and say goodbye to friends before the time runs out.

Excellent Coverage, easy set up
This has worked out really well for us. We live in a good sized 4 bed villa and had lots of places with weak or no wifi. We now get good coverage everywhere and in the garden too. It was pretty easy to set up using the app, I just haven't worked out how to switch my Alexa and Sonos over to the new network, I'll fix that when I have some time.
