My old switch was 9 years old and worked fine. I decided to replace it with this Teg-S383 switch. I love this new switch. All wire connections are on the back. I like all the lights are on the front. My Xfinity speed test increased to over 700 MBTS. I'm super happy with the low price and the faster performance of this new switch. This is the only switch I could find with all the wires on the back and lights on the front. I was suprised that my speed test increased. June 4,2026. Im a happy camper .

It works, the price was fair, and it performs as expected.

I replaced an old 8 port Gigabit switch that was over 7 years old. This is an updated version that offers a limited lifetime warranty, better quality, and a lower price, ($20). The TEG-S83 offers 16 Gigabit speed at full duplex. No user interface needed, just plug and play. Also, there is no fan, it's heat resistant; so no noise will be coming out of this switch. This replacement will continue to function as a hub for my computer, Cable, and wired internet. It looks great, and is a good value for the money. I do recommend for those on a tight budget.

This switch does what it's supposed to. It connects multiple devices to my network with no drama and no problems.

Great little switch, fit perfect for our application. I need access so it’s in a cubby on my main desk, but there’s a false back so I can swap cables with little disruption. Take a small power cable that goes to a medium size power brick. Moderately bright lights for status. The best part all the cables are in the back, ports for cables. So many switches now have front power plugs. This makes for a horrible installation imho. Best to keep all your cables on the same side, this also makes sense from a noise isolation stand standpoint. Great switch, easy as it comes to setup and has a great support plan included. They warranty the unit itself for life, you won’t need to use that warranty. These things once they work will work for 10-20 years if left undisturbed. Don’t over think it. Speeds are as advertised. I’d buy another one. Metal case with a small footprint as well.

It is a functioning 8 port unmanaged gigabit switch. Why pay more if it is everything you need in a compact form.

I bought 3 of these for my Network. The quality is quite good and, they are fan-less. They are speedy and since replacing my Other Well Known Brand Name 1 Gigabit 8 Port & 5 Port switches... The Speed/ Performance is up! What I like best is that these TRENDnet's are following the OLD School approach, where the LED Lights are on the Front of the Unit and the Ethernet Connecters are inserted at the back. So they are perfect for a Small Office/ Home Office Network. Where they sit on your desk and you aren't looking a black box with No indicators at all! The competition did this to save a buck. But their New editions doesn't fit or work the way I want it too. These TRENDnets are great!

Nachdem mein alter Desktop Switch nach vielen Jahren den Dienst verweigerte, kaufte ich mir diesen. Anders als bei vielen anderen, befinden sich die Status LEDs vorne und entsprechend auch das Stromkabel samt Ethernet Anschlüssen hinten. Das Metallgehäuse hat genug Gewicht, dass der Switch einfach lose und ohne weitere Befestigung auf dem Tisch steht.
