Power Ranger Samurai Samurai Mega Blade

I can't believe the Power Rangers are still on. I remember when they came out when I was a kid and I was like "Oh man... Saban Entertainment and some weird rip-off of 70s monster movies combined with Thunderbirds... this can't possibly last." And now my youngest daughter watches the things. *Sigh*Anyway, silly show editorials aside, my daughter is really enjoying this thing. It's reasonably well built, though I do find the latch mechanism and the consistency of the "extension" is a little off, but overall it works well and is fun to employ when attacking 6' tall rubber-suited monsters that happen to be in your neighborhood smashing 3' tall model skyscrapers.

My 4 year-old grandson asked me for this for his birthday for 3 months. He even showed me pictures to be sure I'd get the right one. He is obsessed with the Power Rangers and has many of the toys. He is thrilled with it. It's fairly complex and seems well-built...which it should be for the price. It's a bit more complex and sturdy than his other swords in that genre. Hopefully, it'll survive as long as his obsession!

My son wants to be the Red Power Ranger for Halloween this year, and we had already purchased his costume. There were some flimsy 'cheap' swords that were available locally, but they were the dollar store variety. When I read all the positive reviews on this item, I ordered it and it arrived pretty quickly, even with the free shipping option. My son absolutely loves the item and was extremely happy with his 'authentic' sword. The sound effects are a nice touch and he loves to put on his costume and play for hours. The quality is nicer than most of the kids 'ninja' weapons kits in the toy sections but it could be a tad more sturdy for the price. The changeable sound effects are really what sets it apart from the other options we considered and that (along with the other reviews) made it easy for us to buy this one.

Great buy

The look on my son's face when he opened this was priceless! It was his favorite birthday gift. It makes so many different sounds that unless he keeps pausing in his 'battles' it takes a while to get bored/annoyed with it! (huge plus for mom and dad!) If you boy is into power rangers, i highly recommend it! just remind him not to open near people, pets, or breakables, the blade shoots out fast!

I purchased two of these for my grandsons and they were so excited at Christmas that I once again remembered the joy of being a child. The swords arrived quickly and were just as advertised. The mechanisms worked well and we just couldn't be happier.

Our 4 year old grandson LOVES this sword! The holster doesn't work too well but he said the Power Rangers put it in their pants anyway ;-) We had to slow him down because it does have a somewhat pointed end that's hard and will hurt.

My 6 year old son loves the way it folds and unfolds like on the Power Rangers shows. Only complaint -way too heavy and hard to actually be used in pretend sword fighting. But perfect for his sword fight shows and demonstrations.

Thought it would be heavier but very light plastic..

Made one little boy very happy on his birthday. Apparently it is his 'most played with toy'. Can't get better than that!
