UPDATE: After seeing this review and reviewing my correspondence, I received a phone call from someone in customer service from this company. He said these should not have rusted, and they'd be happy to send a replacement IF I REMOVE THIS REVIEW FIRST. Yes, they wanted me to completely remove this detailed, factual, and honest review before they'd send a replacement. I explained that I believe that's against the seller terms for Amazon, and that I'd be happy to EDIT my review once they are received and I can give another honest review of the replacements... and they refused.---------------------Product completely rusted inside after less than 6 months being installed. The control board and all connections inside are coated with a thick layer of rust. 6 of the 8 units completely stopped working.Seller claims these will last for "years" of use, yet will not stand behind product.After messaging seller, this is the reply I received:" We would like to inform that these lights should be stored during winter months. If you live in an area that gets rain or snow, you should store your outdoor solar lights during these months. "There's NOTHING on the listing about having to uninstall.. matter of fact, this is what the listing says:"feature a durable plastic frame and crystalline solar panel that have been designed to handle the outdoor elements for years to come."" A weather resistant finish will keep these lights going for seasons to come, ""Smooth, durable weather resistant surface is designed to handle the elements with ease""a hassle-free way to add style to your home"The PURPOSE of a wood fence post cap is to protect the fence post from water and etc. so they don't rot from the ends. A product that is designed to be removed during the rainy and snowy months is not suitable for this.A product "designed to handle the elements with ease" should not need to be uninstalled when it rains!The seller also offered to sell me a NEW set for 30% off, when I said "no", it went to "40% off", and then 50% off....I would suggest to not purchase these lights, or any lights from Greenlighting, as their product quality is very bad, and customer service and warranty are almost nonexistent.

Works, does what intended, nice little package. Missing mounting screws in some packages, which is a turnoff and a pain as then I need to go out and find proper mounting screws. The light from these is also a little dim.Update: after 7 months: some of them stopped functioning (charging and/or lighting up at dusk). Overall, the inconsistency is such that I would not recommend this product unless you don’t care whether they all light up or not, and they are not super durable (do not put in areas that experience human foot traffic - these are easily breakable and could only survive on a fence out of harm’s way).

Works good. Comes with mounting screws.The LED light is not particularly bright, but enough to illuminate its immediate area. It gives off more than enough when there are many lights.The battery does not last more than a year or two. Well, it works but the light output diminishes and does not last all night. This is particularly true when the sun is not strong enough to fully charge/condition it properly. It can be refreshed by using a NiCd charger to extend its life. After that, I replace it with NiMh which works better.

I've read with interest the recommendation of removing the post caps when the temperature drops below 32 degrees Fahrenheit. I think I will purchase aluminum post caps to install after the green lights are removed in December. Am not sure whether or not I like this aspect of the post caps but we will have to try them out and see how all this works. Thank you for the good set of instructions set along with the caps.

The lights came very well packaged and were very easy to install. After having the lights up for 6 days of use one of the lights stopped working. After attempting to remove the battery and replace with a known working battery and it still not working I assumed the LED had already gone bad. I disassembled the product to find that the infernal connections had been improperly soldered and were already coming undone. Luckily I happen to have a solder kit and have been fully trained in soldering motherboards so I was able to complete the needed repairs to restore the light and sensor to full functionality. I may be a bit generous with the 3 star rating and am still a bit irritated that I already had to do a repair after a whopping 6 days of use. If I did not have the equipment or the know how to do the repair work I would have been more than irritated. Fingers crossed that don't have to repair every one of them.Update: The company contacted me and were extremely friendly and helpful. The person on the other end said they took notes of the root cause that I had found and would pass the info along. Hopefully it helps correct some manufacturing issues.

It looked nice out of the package , very low light at first… after a few months half of them died, and a few months after that they all died. For 100 bucks I think they should last a little longer then mines did. They also all have condensation in them and all the screws are rusted out It’s a few years later and they sit as expensive post caps lol

I bought 24 of these lights for our deck and patio back in the fall of 2018. They have been working great ever since. I haven't changed any batteries, and they turn on every night and last several hours, sometimes until the morning. We live in northern Minnesota, and these have been working great even through the below zero temps we see for multiple weeks a year. Would highly recommend.

These look really nice. More mood lighting than providing a bright light source, but that's actually why I wanted them. They provide a little light for my backyard without losing the ambience of a nice night. The battery life is so so. In the winter they usually only stay on part of the night, but I'm usually asleep by the time they are off anyway.

Not bright at all.
