In the spring it emerges an attractive chartreuse hue, changes to bright yellow and then takes on orange hues in the autumn. A sport of 'Hughes', it has the same spreading, horizontal habit and easy to grow, drought tolerant culture. Proper name: Juniperus horizontalis 'Hegedus' Uses: Mass plantings; rock gardens; slope and bank plantings, bonsai Soft-textured evergreen with colorful foliage. Spreading habit. Deer resistant. Drought tolerant. Good in sandy, rocky soils. Prune to shape in early spring.
