software crash all the time on android; tracking is erratic
This camera is not bad; although for that price; you may expect a bit more. The good is that the quality of the image is nice; but beware because what you get depends from your connection. I did set it as 1080p and the framerate was atrocious on my 4g phone. In the house with wifi, it works fine, but I need it when I am away, not when I am there in the house. The optics give a good image, the contrast is good, except in night mode. The night mode is clear but the contrast is quite off, looks very over-exposed; not sure if it is a sensor problem or a recording algorithm problem. The gimmick of tracking people works 50% of the times; it may track people, or it just track them and if can't track anymore, it end up rotating more and more, like if the camera can see through the wall. Having it tracking ghosts, and then end up facing a wall for no reason, is quite funny and silly; except that if it happen while your house is robbed; it is not that fun.I did not find any way to control this behavior. You can't even turn off the auto-tracking via software or hardware. The app is OK; it is great that you can save in the cloud the videos, and the camera has a slot for a SD card so you can do a backup of all the cloud recording in local, if you wish to save the recordings. With an SD inserted, you can also do continuous recording; although it last as long as the card is not full; I don't recall if you can erase automatically the old recordings. One problem though is that you cannot trigger recording on the SD card for extended periods. The max lenght of each videoclip is 20 seconds top; even with an SD card, you cannot set like 1m or any other running time; you are stuck with the 20s. Also if you don't want to save everything in the cloud. Strange that this camera does not allow you timelapse, activating only when it sense motion and recording on the SD, since a 30 dollars camera can do that, but not this one.The camera trigger either with movement or with sounds; although it get confused pretty easily. Had a fan on that was moving my blinds, and the camera was triggering like crazy at random times, just because the blinds would move in a certain pattern. Setting the trigger sensitivity to low, did not change much the results. The application seems to crash so often that is borderline unusable on Android. As now, I can't even select the areas that trigger the camera (one of the features of this product), because right after setting the area, the app crash. 100% reproducible crash on a Samsung S6. While it crash at random while doing other operations less frequently. In summary, it is a nice camera, but incredibly overpriced for what it offer. Sadly every single camera with this kind of features is in the same price range (150-200); and they all are more or less the same, so there is really no incentive to buy this or another camera, except if you have an iSmartAlarm system, which can be enhanced by this camera. If you use just the camera, you can even spend less and get cheaper models, since they mostly offer similar experience. You pay for features that works half the time...at that point it is better to get a cheaper camera and just not have these non-working features at all.

Need scheduling for arm/disarm
The camera itself works as advertised. The motion tracking is reasonable though not perfect. The video quality is reasonable in this price range and the panning from the app works fairly well. What made me take a star of (and almost 2 stars off) is the fact that you can't schedule the motion tracking time periods. It's too much hassle to turn it on and off all the time. I want to turn it on say between 11pm and 6am and then again from 8am to 5pm or so. When it's on all the time, it constantly pings my phone when I'm home which is too much. But without "arming" it, you don't get any recordings and motion tracking. It's all or nothing unless there are settings I haven't figured out yet. Perhaps it works better if you tie it into their alarm system but I don't use their alarm system. For the price, it's a pretty good camera. Improve the software as I've outlined and it becomes a great deal.

Camera not working over the Internet
I have used this system in my home and it has worked very well. I have a friend who wanted some system in his building so we ordered a Ismart alarm system. We can not get the camera to show up on our cell phones but nothing happens and we can not control it. We have tried calling Ismart and can not get anyone to answer the phone. I have left my phone number as directed but no one calls me back. They should take a lesson from one of the largest companies in the world and that would be Apple or even Amazon. Have someone to answer your phones. Customer service 101 in my book. Have people available to solve customer issues. As for me I will not recommend Ismart until they improve their service. My friend has an alarm system with nearly $900.00 invested that partly works. Come on Ismart you can do better. There is to much competition out there. You simply must have WOW service or you will not last.

Simple no-hassle security cameras, with little customization.
This is a great system for someone who simply needs a security camera that is no-hassle. For anyone looking for a configurable IP camera, this is not for you. It is not customizable. It is not accessible from a browser. It is a closed, proprietary system. You cannot access the cameras from any app other than the iSmartAlarm app.The inability to customize the camera’s settings limits the applications for these cameras. For example, I miss the ablity to disable the IR illuminators independently of the night vision mode. This would permit you to point the cameras through a window at night, while using external illuminators. I use this setup to protect the cameras from the weather (since they are not suitable for outdoor use). My other IP cameras had this feature as well as many other settings that could be tailored to specific conditions. The other cameras could be viewed through a browser, or other third-party applications- including Apple TV - not so for these cameras. One of the cameras best features often causes trouble. These cameras can swivel almost 360 degrees. I often find that one, or more, of the cameras has swiveled to stare at its own mount. The problem is that they get stuck in this position until someone intervenes. In my case, hours go by before I notice that they are stuck. Under normal conditions the cameras will track motion. Occasionally, they spin all the way around, but they are supposed to return to their ‘set point’ after a brief period. For some reason the cameras often lose audio during motion recording. The cameras are supposed to capture audio with the motion video recordings, but they are often silent. I have been able to resolve this by restarting the camera (you have to unplug the camera, it is not possible to restart the camera from the app - a major problem if you are away), but it eventually happens again. The cameras have the ability to record 24/7. The 24/7 recording always has audio - which is good - unless you need to disable the audio for legal reasons - which is not possible.
